But fans are sick of Jose and want him shipped off

I am haha.

Whatever, Jose is an elite player. I just don't like him in the outfield and I don't like his attitude sometimes. But he's one of the best hitters in baseball and he's getting paid peanuts. I'm happy he's on our team.

I'm starting to wonder if we're ever going to stop wearing those alternate blues, they've even abandoned the home whites now. lol... So superstitious. But if that puts them more at ease then let it be it.

I seem to recall that back in 1992, they would still wear the white panel hat and they got superstitious about that too and the road blue hat became the hat for all games. FWIW, esthetically I like the Jays with as much blue as possible.

Yeah, they actually did that midway through in 1993. They were on a losing streak at home at the time and they had played well on the road so they decided to just stick to the full blue cap permanently. From what I heard though they were going to get rid of the white panel cap at the end of that year anyway, it just came half a season earlier than expected. Funny enough now a lot of people want those white panel caps back, haha.

I like the alternate blues a lot too, but do think it's been way too overused this year. We're not the only team that prefer the alternates though to be fair (Houston also wore their orange alternate jersey as often as possible during their season/postseason run)

I doubt this has much to do with superstition, the blues just look badass. Look at the crowd, the vast majority of jerseys are blue, not white or grey.

At least on the road, they've actually said on the radio here that the equipment manager and the players definitely knew that they had a much better road record with the blues rather than the greys, so the players just started wearing the blues at away games full time (unless it clashes with the other teams' alternates and they force us to wear something else, like in that final series in tampa). Im sure with it being the playoffs they're in no mood to mess around with that belief now, lol.

Is Tepera the long man if RA gets into trouble or is he just going to roll through everyone for an inning or so?

Still better than the Royals--if Chris Young gets pounded, they have no true long man due to Kris Medlen being forced to pitch 4 innings(70 pitches) last night in relief of an ineffective Cueto, knocking him out until Game 6. And Danny Duffy is not stretched out--he's hasn't pitched more than 25 pitches in a month.

I honestly think that Tepera won't get used period in any normal circumstances at all. unless it gets real deep into extra innings or if it becomes a complete disaster of a blowout, Gibby likely won't have enough confidence to use him. Really don't understand his selection still, I think we would have been better off with another bench piece if Tepera wasn't going to be used in any meaningful way anyway.

The baseball gods rewarded Goins last night....deservedly so. Hope they smile on Dickey just as well after he missed his first post-season win last week.

Dickey will pitch a gem today and frustrate the Royals. Dickey has been doing it to teams since the All Star break.

I heard Dickey on 590 the Fan and he was explaining that to do well he has to get his knuckleball in the strike zone and induce weak contact.
