IBTrini Verified Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Lots of anger on the GDT thread last night. The Blue Jays had some chances but couldn't come through against some tough pitching. David Price will have to come through this afternoon and pitch a gem. I hope he can perform in the cool weather; it will be around 60°F at game time. Now we know just how tough this Kansas City Royals team will be. The offense needs to wake up or they will suffer a similar fate. They were able to rip a few balls hard but they were hit straight at players - kinda unlucky but that's how it flies sometimes. I really hope Encarnacion is not injured and does not need a few days off as that would really be a bad piece of luck for the Jays. Anyway, today is a new day and the Jays know the situation better than most. They most probably will be coming out to play hard and play with a renewed vengeance. I am already preparing for the game (eats/drinks/system checks - Laptop working, TV working/"Do Not disturb" sign on the door at the fingertips) and just anxiously waiting for it to start. Here is to hoping the Jays have an explosive offensive outburst which silences the crowd and any bias broadcasters (cuz that makes my ears, eyes, and nose bleed all at the same time - just too much to handle.)

We hit a few balls on the nose into outs. They did too. Cola hit 2 into the OF but he is the last guy we can complain about BABIP luck for. His is over .400 Volquez didn't have a good stat line but the players and former players on every broadcast were talking about was his V, movement and corners location last night post game. He was able to keep us from getting any big hits. Just lucky and/or good??....we didn't hit much and scored 0. Looking for them to bounce back today and a big gm from Price. I love Tulo but I am more concerned than I ever thought I would be. He looks lost.
Anony13 Verified Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Go Go The guy who brings 12 rippers over the night before a playoff game? Joke. Wish these boys took this as seriously as the fans do. That's the real problem with these fresh Jays.
Governator Community Moderator Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 It's really not It's really sarcasm

Rusty_Savage Verified Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 I lived in Japan for 2 years a long time ago and actually Japanese is like algebra, easier than English to learn to speak. (and Korean sounds very similar to Japanese). I was able to carry-on everyday conversations in Japanese within a year, but I studied it constantly. English is more difficult to learn than Japanese because of the 10's of thousands of English words to remember (luckily English is my first language), but still many Japanese people can carry on a conversation in English within a year if they work at it. I have actually seen a game in the Japanese Professional League, Warren Cromartie an ex-Montreal Expo, was one of the players in the league at the time and I saw him play. I lived in Korea for 14 months. Hangul is quite simple to learn. Has to do with the grouping of the consonants and vowels. English on the other hand is one of the more difficult languages to learn.

Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 My friend told me there was snow in Grand Bend. Now that I look, the weather network is forecasting snow overnight. http://www.theweathernetwork.com/weather/canada/ontario/sault-ste-marie I doubt it happens though. Iit's a lot warmer right now than they say and there are no clouds.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 My friend told me there was snow in Grand Bend. Guess I don't know much. There's now 6 inches of snow in Sault Ste. Marie and more coming. Winter is upon us!
