CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I'm so glad Jose did the bat flip. f*** the umps and the Rangers! And especially the f***ing idiots at the replay video center. (Even though they weren't involved in Martin's play)
GD Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 As someone who has watched every pitch live in both the 92 and 93 World Series, i have to say that the Bautista HR today was a bit more intense. Bautista's HR today rivals the Alomar HR off Eckersley in the 92' ALCS. 1. Carter 2. Alomar 3. Bautista In terms of all around importance and significance. Alomar's took down a long-time rival and was the first time we really had a legit chance at success. Carter's needs no explanation. Bautista's was probably the most incredible thing I've ever seen. In terms of crediting the individual player, I'd probably go 1. Alomar 2. Bau 3. Carter.
closetjaysfan Verified Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I'm done being Debbie Downer. This team has made it past the 1st round. Plain good. #IBelieve Wow i expect this to be quoted by half the forum... did someone hack Trouba's account?
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I wasn't there but I had a f***ing ticket to be there. I will have to remember that my entire god damn life. That sucks beyond words hombre. Sorry. Well at least we won!!! Get to the next games cause now...there is going to be more!
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Also props to Dickey, he seems to be loving every min of it. Was worried he was going to be crying about how much he's pitching, but he seems to just be loving it. Think he was the first one to go around the crowd and high five everyone. What a feeling it must be for guys like him, Buehrle, etc. I caught that in the background of one of the interviews, couldn't see who it was, just saw soemone and a cop hat on, thought it was strange. Seems you make a lot of mistakes ju1ced? Same goes from the last play back, keep it to your chest mate.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Poor TFC, qualify for the playoffs for the first time in their existence and virtually no one cares. Great goal by Giovinco though
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 What the heck was gibbons doing throwing sanchez against lefties though? I've lost complete faith in him. You play your 2 best relievers. Absolutely the right move. They won the game too, give Gibby all of the credit in the world.

Soft Hands Verified Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Jose's homer today was one of the biggest sports moments for me and the bat flip was straight up awesome. Here's how I'd rank some of the top moments 1. Santonio Holmes toe tap td in the super bowl 2. James Harrison's 100 yard pick six in the same super bowl 3A. Kevin Bieksa's stanchion goal to send the nucks to the cup finals 3B. Raffi Torres winning cup final game 1 with 19 seconds left 3C. Alex Burrows winning cup final game 2 11 seconds into ot 4. Jose's homerun today I ranked those other plays ahead of the homer cause they were deeper in the playoffs. Hopefully in a few weeks I'll have to make a new list with new blue jay moments to add
vdubmvp Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 RA Dickey is f***ing awesome He's been having so much fun this season, it's really great to see.

I was a cop in Toronto from 1975-1980 and you just don't lose your hat and if you do you can kiss your hat badge goodbye.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Yeah, baseball is awesome. I'm just glad the Martin mistake was inconsequential. It was the right call, but deciding a serie likexthatcwoukd have been awful. Martins mistake is what led to the Bautista Bomb
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Jays made it a birthday to remember..... now lets hope we get to November baseball!

Soft Hands Verified Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Lol @ hockey plays being ranked in all time sports moments. Why is that funny??? I like hockey and that's the only time I've seen the Canucks go on a run.

canadiansportsjunkie Verified Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Gibbons played it right. The game didn't come to the bullpen arms outside of Sanchez and Osuna which was expected. My topic was before Joey Bats...regardless great game
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Watching it live..greatest sports moment ever
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Why is that funny??? I like hockey and that's the only time I've seen the Canucks go on a run. I can relate, my best moment was when Guy Lafleur score that famous goal against Boston many many years ago.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Lol @ hockey plays being ranked in all time sports moments. not sure how Ali v Foreman (rumble in the jungle) doesn't get in the top 4.... how about Wilt Chamberlain scoring 100pts in 1 game? Jesse owens getting 4 gold medals in front of Hitler's angry little Nazis? most of hockey is way down the best sports moments. lol
