jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 I hate John Gibbons. Like so much
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Gibbons just trying to make it a save situation so he can get Osuna in there too.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Author Posted October 12, 2015 So now were going to have to use Sanchez and Osuna instead of Hawkins and Loup.
starfield Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Really dont understand why they werent mixing up sliders. I dont understand at all
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 50 pitches for Price. Probably won't be available Wednesday. We don't need him Wednesday hopefully
Statman Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 At least we know now that starting Stroman in game 5 is 100% the correct move.
Treeplant Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Any chance we go to a three man rotation in the next series (if we make it), and just use Price to give up a run every inning or two when we have massive leads? I was really hoping it wasn't the case but I think we've got a regular season ace, post season choker.
nucker101 Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Gibbons just trying to make it a save situation so he can get Osuna in there too. Maybe he'll use Stroman too.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 5 hits and 2 runs in 2.2 IP. I'm sure Dickey or our bullpen could have done that. I'm glad he didn't bring that to game 5.
comeon sense Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Dickey could/should have pitched at least 3 more innings. Micromanaging never works.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Again, glad we pulled Dickey in favor of a playoff choker! Still want to tell me Gibbons was "playing it safe"? Gibbons hasnt played this game well at all. From here on out. Someone should be ready in the pen. Lets Go Blue Jays!!!!!!
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 50 pitches for Price. Probably won't be available Wednesday. Probably a good thing. He should match up much better against the Royals/Astros.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Smart move to use Price today.. keep him away from blowing up vs. the Rangers on Wednesday. Stroman was the better pitcher anyway back at home with his ground ball tendencies. At least it gives us a chance to win this series. It would be great to do what the 2012 Giants did (came back from 0-2 to beat the Reds in the NLDS)
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Should have left Price in. To get the last out? I probably would have at this point
Soft Hands Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 if we get to the next round hopefully price matches up better with the royals/astros
Plat Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Good thing, now I hope this shows them not to resign this playoff choker
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 I hate John Gibbons. Like so much Why? Would you rather Price do this in Game 5 when it really counts?
Mambo123 Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 I for one am glad Price is not starting game 5. But why did Gibbons not let Dickey get 1 more out? He's been waiting 40 years to get a post season win.
vdubmvp Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 50 pitches for Price. Probably won't be available Wednesday. Yeah, bringing him in at all was questionable, but leaving him that long was just nonsensical.
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Probably a good thing. He should match up much better against the Royals/Astros. Why? Three of Texas' four best hitters are left-handed.

Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Sanchez....so impressed with his post season composure.
Atlas Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 We know you guys can get 2 strikes....seen it a lot! Get the third!,,,
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Is 4 runs for osuna enough? 3 outs last night were all hard hit..
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Counting on Stubbs is like counting on a lottery ticket to come through
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Author Posted October 12, 2015 Why? Three of Texas' four best hitters are left-handed. That doesn't really matter. They look pretty comfortable against him.
FrozenRopes Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 I for one am glad Price is not starting game 5. But why did Gibbons not let Dickey get 1 more out? He's been waiting 40 years to get a post season win. No time for nostalgia or feel good stories.
