I doubt that very much, I can see them losing Kevin Maitan, Abraham Guttierrez and Ji-Hwan Bae, maybe Christian Pache but unlikely and International penalties on future years, that's pretty harsh in all, their FO f***ed up bigtime.

I'm dumb. I meant Maitan.

Acuna is safe. He was signed under the old regime.

The league is about to rule on the Braves' signing debacle. It seems like we'll know tomorrow which prospects they are losing.

MLB To Meet With Braves Players On Tuesday

November 20, 2017 By Ben Badler

Major League Baseball has informed several Braves prospects that they will meet with them on Tuesday afternoon, according to multiple sources. The players will either meet with league officials in person in the Dominican Republic or be informed of what's happening by phone.

MLB has been investigating the Braves' international signings, with the team expecting to lose multiple players they signed in recent years. While few specifics have come out regarding what rules MLB has determined the Braves violated and what sanctions the team will face, given that MLB has called a meeting with the players for tomorrow, those details should emerge soon.

I wonder what the actual violations were. Giving these kids and the families money before the signing period? Maybe CNN will report some sexual misconduct?

Man, Fangraphs needs to get Longenhagen some help. November 21st, and he's produced one org ranking.

While I agree, he's sort of his own worst enemy in that regard. The org reports he publishes are incredibly in-depth.

He'll be hired by some front office soon, me thinks. ;)

NOVEMBER 21: An announcement could come today, MLB.com’s Mark Bowman adds on Twitter. Notably, he says to expect a “severe” punishment that strips the Braves of “many” recent international signees.

I need a lot more than the KATOH 100 for the LoD NPD.

How's your list coming along?

I started mine in early November and i'm almost at 100 names but guys from like 60-100 are pretty fluid.

38 names so far. I'll be using both of my 6th round picks, so I'll need another 100+ names :(

Abrahan Gutierrez has been declared a free agent by MLB as well. This is getting bad for the Braves.

Have the Yankees officially signed all of their kids that were still 15 on July 2nd and therefore had to wait until they turned 16? I knew that Ronny Rojas was one of them and he signed in ~September, but I thought there was another one or two of them?

How does this work again? The kids get to keep their money and they go back and can sign with any team? (with the pool restrictions)

Yup, well, IIRC. I don't think they'll become actual FA's, that would be a jackpot for them, lol.

Yes.

My guess is more than likely their Top IFA from the 2016 draft is gone, and maybe some from the 2017 class as well. Plus IFA signing restriction for the 2018 season and maybe a fine. The MLB is ironically chopping the Braves down with a Tomahawk. Really stupid considering how easy the Cardinals got off when they hacked the Astros. Meanwhile, I'm sure Braves weren't the only team doing the type of stuff they did to sign IFA's.
