THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2016 Posted July 17, 2016 (edited) I'm curious what Shapiro/Atkins are waiting for regarding Danny Barnes. The guy is dominating in AAA and we desperately need BP help. Send down Loup until you can find a suitor for Storen. AA - 10.09 K/9, 1.01 BB/9, 2.54 FIP, 1.01 ERA AAA - 9.26 K/9, 0.77 BB/9, 1.30 FIP, 0.77 ERA 2016 - 9.89 K/9, 0.95 BB/9, 2.10 FIP, 0.95 ERA Edited July 17, 2016 by THANOS

THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2016 Posted July 17, 2016 Are you sure Shatkins even knows who Barnes is? If not Shapiro, how could Atkins not? He's the GM and Barnes has been dominating since he debuted years ago.
nmrch Verified Member Posted July 17, 2016 Posted July 17, 2016 One step at a time. We're talking about 70 PA sample sizes here. That doesn't mean that they shouldn't be promoted, just saying that there's only so much that you can see from a stat line about someone's readiness for promotion. That being said, having Biggio, Bichette and Vlad Jr on the same infield would be cool to watch The 4 SB and 0 CS is kind of interesting, and he's only been on 1st 19 times. Obviously you shouldn't read too much into 70 PA's but maybe he is more athletic than he looks.
King Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2016 Posted July 17, 2016 Maese making his Lansing debut today.

King Old-Timey Member Posted July 18, 2016 Posted July 18, 2016 Bottom of the 18th now. In the top of the 18th Pruitt was tagging up from 2nd to 3rd on a deep flyball, that was bobbled by the cutoff man when it was thrown back in, so Pruitt tried to take home but he was thrown out. 6 hour long game.. Vancouver Canadians game is over, before this one (Vancouver one started 3 hours later).

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 18, 2016 Posted July 18, 2016 And it's over, god damnit. That was fun. Bluefield loses in the bottom of the 20th. Crazy, there catcher played the entire 20 innings, just crazy.
King Old-Timey Member Posted July 18, 2016 Posted July 18, 2016 Crazy, there catcher played the entire 20 innings, just crazy. Former Bluefield radio guy tweeted that the game would have ended at 1 AM, no matter what happened. That would have been anti climatic. I guess that's a rule, learn something new everyday. JW Gravley @jwgravley 11m11 minutes ago 20. Count them... 20! The 20th inning is about to be played between @BluefieldJays & @GvilleAstros. Game will stop at 1 AM no matter what.
