I really can't believe the umpiring in this game. If you're going to give someone a bit of a liberal zone, this was the game for it. There were at least 3 balls that could have been called strikes and nobody would have argued.

 

Just another example of an ump's ego trumping the actual game. This s*** happens too often.

Hamels starting today for the Rangers, so he can't go Thursday unless they pitch him on 3 days rest.

 

I'm actually worried about lefties since Gibbons appears to have Edwin at 1st and Cola at DH against them nowadays, which is beyond stupid.

 

Heck, it's uncertain who the Rangers will have to pitch by Thursday, especially if the Rangers lose, Astros win, and they end up in a play-in game for the division or wild card.
