HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Didn't know we were facing Archer today. Welp, I doubt he'll have two duds in a row
EMK19 Verified Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Really glad to see the return of the road greys, even if it is forced by the Rays wearing their alternates. Hope they win with it today to shake off that superstition they have with greys being bad luck/blues being good luck.
nextyear Verified Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Should be an interesting game. This is another good tune up game for the first playoff game on Thursday.

Someone called in to Wilner the other day saying it's been since July vs the Royals when they wore them. Apparently the Jays are something like 10-21 wearing them this season.

JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Cheers to all of you and our Jays for a great game and hopefully another win against the smelly fish!
labadee Verified Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Need to win to keep pace with the royals who won today. Lets go blue jays!
reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted October 3, 2015 Author Posted October 3, 2015 I have no idea why people like the Grey's. It's a bland colour and does not look good at all His reason was because it's more traditional and has the city on it. Makes sense but I agree they are bland obviously.

The players certainly don't seem to like wearing them too much, probably its part superstition and part them liking the blue alternates more. I appreciate the greys more than they do I guess since it looks close to their road greys of the championship years. (We didn't get the alternate blue jersey until 1994)
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Did Tabler say Melvin Upton? I must be going deaf.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Let's Go Blue Jays!!!!!!!!!!
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 this is what happens when we wear the greys
EMK19 Verified Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Estrada certainly worries me with HR proneness, I have to say... We basically have to pray they don't have any runners on board when they do.

Maahfaace Verified Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 I really thought Pennington was a better defender. He's shown shiat defense since playing with the jays
labadee Verified Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 I really thought Pennington was a better defender. He's shown shiat defense since playing with the jays that was a tough play. i was one of pennington's biggest critics but he's been fine and has been made so huge plays as well. the one against NYY stands out to me

THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 He's also bunged up alot routine plays, not to mention his errant throws If Diaz is eligible I bring him with me instead. Better defender, much more accurate arm, and probably a better hitter.

o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 when do teams have to announce their ALDS roster?
HammerJay Verified Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Nothing against Estrada, but he is a "poo thrower" who is having a career year. He gives up beautiful meatballs at a prolific rate, now 23 for the year. Don't often disagree with Zaun, but no way is he the 3 starter ahead of Stroman
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 He's also bunged up alot routine plays, not to mention his errant throws ^ this. for a guy who hits as poorly as Penny he has to be hugely steady on D to have any value.
