This article makes me skeptical Tulo will be able even 50% of his usual talent. He's probably done for the next few months as well.

Good article...but I'm going to stay in my optimistic bubble. Guys play with pain in OCT all the time and have done some incredible things. A lot of the injuries we don't even hear about. Edwin is in pain on every swing and miss I'm guessing. Kirk Gibson's limp up to the plate and HR as a LAD comes to mind.

 

We'll know soon enough.

Do we know if its his right shoulder or left? If he can barely raise his arm I have a hard time seeing him being able to throw to 1st base if its his right one. This is different than just playing through "pain"

Glove arm. It's also his lead shoulder to swing, he isn't coming back.

yeah swinging the bat seems tough. If there is the chance of making it worse I can't see him coming back when the typical recovery time is months.

Isn't Tulo without his bat basically Goins? I'd rather play a healthy Goins over a 50% Tulo with no power.

I don't see Tulo being productive with his current injury in my opinion. I mean maybe if they get to the ALCS but at that point it'll be tough.
