JFD Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Smoak hitting .345 with RISP this year. and last year .210. which one is the real Smoak?
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Who the hell plays 1B if Smoak is PH? EE and the pitcher bats most likely.
reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Are you ever happy? You're constantly afraid and paranoid. He is either a bad troll or someone who needs to get some help. Let's hope the former.

EMK19 Verified Member Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Tough game we had. Salazar had his stuff and we did the best we could do to hit him. Unfortunately most were 1 or 2 out rallys without much margin for error. Can't fault our hitters, just great pitching by the Indians (Albeit inconsistent strike zone). Great to see Goins continue hitting and to see EE continue his hit streak. Wonder if Tulo goes back to leading off tm now though... As for pitching, pretty much the same thing, kudos to Indians for getting to Price... Price was decent but not the most pinpoint as we've often seen him before, although he was squeezed by a tight zone as well... One thing that lost the game today I feel is our over eagerness in fielding... Bautista, like the rangers game where the ball rolled under him, as well as Donaldson at 3rd today, seemed too preoccupied with setting up to throw the ball as fast as possible rather than making a surehanded grab of the ball first, leading to those late runs. I understand that they're aggressive ballplayers and are on a high right now due to our run, but it's perhaps time to calm things down a bit out there in the field. At least Yanks didn't gain ground today. Hopefully the offence breaks out again tm, and hope that Estrada will continue to pitch the way he has.

Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Just finished the game and all I can say is #FreePompey!!!!!!! Bautista is giving up runs every game with his crappy defense. Losing balls in light, losing balls in the sun, bad routes, missing the ball on the ground, can't field an easy hopper off the wall..... that's just this month. I mean it's so freaking bad, might have to consider defensive replacements if he doesn't improve
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Also, at least Boston came through in the end.

(unless it's a blowout)
nonamejays Verified Member Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 What do we do with Jose next year assuming Pompey will be ready. You obviously keep Pillar/Revere in Center/Left. Would Bautista work at 1B (who cares if he'd prefer being in RF)?

vdubmvp Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Sat next to some of the weirdest people I've ever been around at a game. They didn't stand, they didn't cheer, they didn't even clap once. I glanced down at them when we took the lead and they were just completely silent. It was so odd. Naturally, they also left after the seventh when it was a 3-2 game. Also, oh my god, f*** the wave.

We've got Pillar, Revere, Saunders, and Pompey. I'd also like to sign a veteran 4th OF type player. Depends if the front office wants to roll with Cola or Smoak next year.
