Pompey's line since returning to AAA

 

.335 .422 .424 .847 (189 PA) (.374 BABIP)

 

For me the most impressive is 25 BB and only 21 K!

I'd love to see hits by direction (especially by which side of the plate he was on).

 

When he was up here he was popping up away pitches rather than going with it.

It would be really nice to see his power developing a little more - but it's hard to argue with that advance approach at the plate.

 

Yeah that's the one thing lacking, he hit his first AAA HR just a couple days ago.

Ang when you meet him, make sure he takes the secret Mexican drugs! Get that boy built. He scrony. That'll fix his power issue.

In the San Pedro de Macoris' games I sit next to Luis Mercedes, the Cano and Edwin hitting coach. I'll talk Luis to give Pompey a couple of advices.

speaking of which... EDWIN IS A HITTING GOD!!!

 

Hot for about 6 weeks now. His first hot streak all year and it's an amazing one.

It seems that Dalton Pompey got robbed of an inside the park home run.

 

 

 

Does anyone know of any other players in the Blue Jays organization playing winter ball (in any league)?

I checked to see how Dalton Pompey was doing in winter ball but he still isn't playing - http://www.mlb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?sid=l132&t=p_pbp&pid=592647 (he was added to the DL on Nov 7th but I am not sure why?)

 

I checked his twitter account to see what is going on and he seems to be back in Toronto. I hope he doesn't have a serious injury, but if not, it is probably best for him as a player to just have a few months off to rest in the off-season. Winter ball didn't help him in 2015 based on the start of the 2015 MLB.

He was hit in his left foot.
