o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Estrada just keeps surprising everybody. This man wants to get paid. Estrada didn't use his change up early while NY was looking for it and now they have no idea what to look for. if that is Navarro's idea it's a great plan.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Gotta imagine he's back up soon, this 8 men bullpen is just dumb especially the way the starters are going Pompey brings a lot of useful tools.... his speed and defense alone more useful then the 8th man in the pen. He's also possibly the best OF in the org right now.... better than Pillar and Revere for sure, Bautista edges him out but its close IMO considering defense and speed on basepaths

Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Why not, because Revere was an acquisition and AA would look bad? Pompey will get starts in September and will force Gibby's hand. revere is fine chill out
Patrick Verified Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 For a little extra fun I'm keeping an eye on a Yankees message board. Can you say "nervous"? They can. LOL I don't troll them, in fact dont comment at all, just like seeing them in their misery.
jays76 Verified Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 The pen will be nice and rested up next series if Estrada keeps dealing. Hutch starts game 1 so that might be a good thing..
Followthelight Verified Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 6 runs yesterday. Go back to your casual fan train. You don't understand what "For the most part" means . Not my issue you're dumb.. Even then all HR's except 1 run. Been watching baseball for 25 years and played it...no casual fan.
Patrick Verified Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Time for Navarro to go all #TOLumberCo and park one

Sparky12 Verified Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Gotta let Estrada go at least 1 more now
93 Jays Verified Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Yeah, thought I hear somewhere revere had 184 hits last year? I find that hard to imagine, watching his approach. Must've had 130 bunt singles or something. I like Pompey as a better option as well but it's hard to throw him in this fire right now. On the other hand, it could be invaluable experience for him. I'm on the side of letting him play but it's a tough one
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 I think he's just struggling a bit, he led the NL in hits last year. Pompey's approach was pretty terrible too in his limited time up here this year, he needs some more seasoning. I love his future but it's a risky gamble to bring him up at such a crucial time in the year. To be fair, 22 games isn't enough time to figure things out. It was his first real kick at the can and it's normal for a young player to struggle a bit. He's tasted it and seems to have things worked out. He'll be better than Revere and Pillar next time around.

MrMariusz Verified Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Man, how sweet would it be to complete the sweep. So close now.
Followthelight Verified Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 First and second no one pout. Time to tack on a few.

Followthelight Verified Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 That strike call is a joke wow.
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 No way we resign him. Someone else will overpay for sure. i was actually looking at the FA sp class next year and a guy that popped out at me that will be cheap is Masterson. Played in a bad park with a terrible D behind him. Thoughts?
