LTR Verified Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Reyes doesn't seem to have the range, and when he tries to make a throw after he dove for one, it looks painful to watch. Yes.
LTR Verified Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Dickey said some umpires, as a matter of “baseball etiquette, will not call a strike on a pitch the catcher misses because they believe it makes them look bad. Others ignore that tradition. That s*** infuriates me.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Goins makes every single play... routine plays, hard plays, difficult plays. What a treat to watch. Reyes usually makes routine plays, I haven't seen him make a hard or difficult play all year. Ive given up complaining about him (for now). If he hits he is worth it. I like musing about alternative positions he might play for another team but that's highly unlikely to happen. We have no viable replacement now anyway. The simple fact is when he is hitting well he is a major component of our 0 and makes up for that marginal D. He gives us enough with the glove to still W most nights.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 They were amicable conversations,” Dickey said after working 7 1/3 innings in Toronto’s 7-1 win. “But at the same time, I needed to get a point across and make sure that he understood that (the knuckleball) was moving a lot tonight, and Russ was doing a great job back there. He even admittedly didn’t call one of those strikes a strike three because Russ didn’t catch it. So we had a good conversation about that.” That 3-2 pitch on Ruben Tejada in the second occupied much of the first discussion between Dickey and Wegner. Dickey said some umpires, as a matter of “baseball etiquette, will not call a strike on a pitch the catcher misses because they believe it makes them look bad. Others ignore that tradition. http://news.nationalpost.com/sports/toronto-blue-jays-finally-give-r-a-dickey-some-back-up-in-win-over-new-york-mets Wow! That ump should be suspended and it proves once again they are the worst officials in professional sports. Complete and total ******** not to call a strike because a catchers misses it. Enough dinosaur "tradition" crap.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2015 Author Posted June 19, 2015 Don't worry guys....working on the GDT for tonight. Should be up in a few hours after some research. (like how to spell douche)
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Jease Oriole Fans sure f***ing hate us and i have no clue why. All they talk about is Cito who most here agree was not a great manager, and of course steal signs lol.... I think they hate the fact that Jose continues to show them up. Only conclusion i can come to

Only conclusion i can come to I'm not sure what would bring closure to Orioles fans. Cito being put out to pasture (twice!) didn't do it. Having made the playoff more recently than the Blue Jays doesn't. Would winning the World Series appease them? Maybe they just just love the idea of having a rival. a team that can play the role of the bad guys. It seems like most Jays fan focus on what the Jays organization has done to itself and how it can improve. Perceive slights by other team are never more than a temporary concern.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 THe Cito thing goes back almost 25 years to when he snubbed Mike Mussina and didn't select him to the All Star game. I want to say that the All Star game was in Baltimore (but I'm not 100% sure)...they got pretty hot about it...guess they never got over it. Just like Toronto and Kerry Fraser. Yes it was in Baltimore and Cito clearly f***ed up but holly do they ever blow it out of proportion. It was the frigin' All Star game. You're supposed to forget all about what happened in the All Star Game within a week tops, NOT HOLD A GENERATIONAL GRUDGE OVER IT.

I do like the rivalry idea (Calgary/Edmonton, Maple Leafs/Sens, Blue Bombers/Riders) But it seems a lot more then normal lol. Maybe just send them a basket of Maple Syrup, and some Dildos and they can f*** themselves. I don't know lol

I mean a lot of people are started to really dislike the Orioles but it's mostly because of their fans. Showalter is a bit of a tool but even then the team itself isn't really worthy of more animosity than any other division rivals.
baubau Verified Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 The rivalry is cute. Mostly cause its just the O's that hate us lol. I go over to their forum they have about 3-4 thread on us and we don't have a single one of them here. I imagine that if we score a lot of runs there will be a thread on how we are cheaters/use drugs and if Bautista hits a home run I bet there will at least be 2 threads on that as well. E: I see them like a angry little brother that still holds grudges when you beat them.

Exactly really the only 3 that have shown dislike for each other are Bautista, Jones, and O'Day which i wonder if Buck has figured out not to let him pitch to Bautista.
Swervin81 Verified Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 At the end of the day, Oriole fans still have to live in that shithole Baltimore.
baubau Verified Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 http://forum.orioleshangout.com/forums/showthread.php/148667-The-Blue-Jays-Series/page4 I wasn't around in 1989 or when Cito dissed Mike Mussina in the ASG. But I hate the Blue Jays above all other opponents, because they cheat. They steal signs and take advantage of new advances in chemistry unavailable to American players. I also hate their playing surface. Hiding the ball and switching signs every inning are the keys to this series. Gold! So it is because of Cito, stealing signs and drugs. Called it. Haha. Should someone go tell him Davis used drugs last year. Don't thing they get the news that fast in Baltimore.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 I love how supporters of Brady Anderson and Chris Davis think Bautista is the most obvious steroid case ever.

RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 ^ I thought Chris Davis was going to be good again now that he was back on the ritalin juice
