ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 Also, DIDN'T re-sign Melky... That was a great move. And getting Saunders for Happ was still a good move. And he lowered the team's payroll while improving the roster.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 If Stroman were healthy, AA might have been lined up for an extension. Now he will have to pull a rabbit out of his hat to save his job. Great off-season, poor roster management due to panic after Stro got hurt.
SaskJaysFan_2 Verified Member Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 You forgot Travis and Hendriks, the man has had an amazing offseason. He's rolled 7's with all of this year's moves.

He's made great moves and now he's handcuffed by Rogers. There is no way in hell I fire him. Gibby? Meh. Who knows.
LTR Verified Member Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 Also, DIDN'T re-sign Melky... That was a great move. I guess it takes a couple years for the strength/fast-twitch muscle performance gains from PEDs to finally wear off... I'm serious, I'm not serious.

baubau Verified Member Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 Also, just realized this... Valencia is a lefty killer... Bumgarner is a lefty. AA destroyed KC's chances of winning the series. Probably going, "make the playoffs before the Jays eh? WELL f*** YOU SUCK MY COCK .. and give me Valencia".

I hated that trade and hate that Gibbons loves Valencia. Gibbons basically plays all the guys i despise on the team (Valencia,Bello,Navi), now i know he's left little choice sometimes but i still think he overplays those slops. Now it looks like Bo Schultz is going to be getting in before Cecil which is ridiculous.

Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 There is no reason to dislike Valencia vs lefty's There is my problem. 50 PA's against lefties and 55 against righties. His babip is just insane like collabelo's, covering up his shittiness.

BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 I know we can really use this one...but f*** I hate off days. Especially coming off a huge win. Just sayin'

BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 Think of them as Roberto Osuna recovery days lol... I like that! And its true. God, he has been a bright spot in that pen. A 20 year old coming off TJ and being dominant. Good story.
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 Except the fact that Valencia has a 141 wRC+ against lefties throughout 602 career plate appearances. Sorry that wasn't really my point. I know he hits lefties well, but he does have around a .370 babip against them. So can he keep this up over a long period of time...doubtful. Now why is he getting more PA's against righties is the question? There's two ways to look at it, either he's pushed into close to everyday duties at 3rd because of a Donaldson injury, which isn't the case. Or Gibbons is just putting him out for shits and giggles and not in his platoon in LF.

Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 I am concerned what he is learning in Buffalo. I saw the Zaun pitching video and totally agreed. Why is Tampa so successful with their pitching staff. They don't get sucked in by a kid throwing gas in A ball. Remember Doc Halliday he went down throwing 96 and getting hit and came back throwing 92 93 and winning 24 games. I don't know if we have a coach like that now.

How about he learned a cutter and throwing a cutter at 96 mph is a bad idea unless you're Kenley Jansen. Plus he loved throwing a 2-steamer which tends to lose a mile or 2 of velocity
