burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Had an interesting thought the other day. If Donaldson were to win MVP he would obviously get more in arb. maybe 10 million more over the course of 3 years than he would of got. But would the revenue of the Blue Jays having a player win MVP be worth more than the extra money Donaldson would get in arb.? What's everyone think about this?

Why do you care so much about the money?
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Millar is pretty smart Yeah.. in Bizarro world, those teams are playoff bound, while teams like the Royals, Jays, Yankees, and Astros are in last place.. Millar sure blew this one, with the Angels the only one that might make it as a wild card, providing they fight off the Twins/Rangers/O's/Rays.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Millar is pretty smart Can you blame him? The Sox have 5 aces!
guylaroche5 Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Millar was like the only guy on planet earth that bought into the White Sox hype. Most people in the media knew they were doomed from the start, team had so many holes even after the acquisitions.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Why do you care so much about the money? I don't but just thought it was an interesting thing to think about. Donaldson would be only the 2nd MVP of the franchise.
Followthelight Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 lol at all the red sox hype going into this season.

harvey16 Verified Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Noticed that capacity at the Dome is only about 46,500 now. Used to be 50k. When did 3,500 seats dissappear???
BTS Community Moderator Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 The Pirates lol Is there a more likable team in the league? Impossible to root against the Pirates.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 ^Since Beeston they only count paying attendance so 46500 is the paying crowd. Not including free tickets given away to all sorts of people.
Swervin81 Verified Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Every home run hit by the Blue Jays in 2015 (as of August 26): Such an awesome video. This is the baseball equivalent of porn. Pure baseball porn.
FFantasy Verified Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 "Helping" is an understatement - the Blue Jays don't make any playoffs if Lawrie is still manning 3B.
Caper Verified Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Where would this team be right now. If the instead of Tulo and Goins up the middle it was Reyes and Emillio Bonifacio?
nextyear Verified Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Here's today's lineup from the Blue Jays Twitter - They have their top defensive lineup on the field and I hope Hutchison will have as good a game as his last one in Toronto.
CrackerJack Verified Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 whenever Casey Janssen & Adam Lind catch some Blue Jays highlights these days they must be kinda sad that they ain't here no more.
jb22 Verified Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Man pillar has had some awful ABs today, that last base hit not withstanding. Plate discipline what is it?
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Man pillar has had some awful ABs today, that last base hit not withstanding. Plate discipline what is it? 15-1 and you're complaining
jb22 Verified Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 15-1 and you're complaining Wasn't complaining, just pointing out he's had really poor at-bats, what does that have to do with the score?
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Wasn't complaining, just pointing out he's had really poor at-bats, what does that have to do with the score? Its Pillar, he has a terrible approach. Hopefully Shapiro doesn't give him the CF job next year
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Its Pillar, he has a terrible approach. Hopefully Shapiro doesn't give him the CF job next year Why? He's great defensively.

Lot's of homers on this board, they cry when you point out something negative, even if it's true. Best to ignore them quickly. Logical thinking not allowed.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Why? He's great defensively. Right but we don't have enough major league innings to say he's this guy going forward. He could go back to being a 1.0 war guy. All I know is Pompey better be given a fair shot or trade him
