Governator Community Moderator Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Good news, the show will go on. John has picked up the package of fireworks for tonight's game. I was going to give him sparklers but he assures me he can handle them.

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Waiting for the Jays lineup.. ugly Angels lineup tonight: LF Victorino RF Calhoun CF Trout DH Pujols 1B Cron SS Aybar C Ianetta 2B Ryan Jackson 3B Kaleb Cowart 7-8-9 is really ugly.. hitting under .200 (or no hits at all). Basically, shut Calhoun/Trout/Pujols down and the Jays will have a decent shot.

Our offense hasn't been as good lately.

HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 Imagine Stroman and Travis never got injured. thats not how baseball works. If those two didn't get injured, it would have probably been two other key players.

Actually, that's not how the space-time continuum works. If those two didn't get injured, the new space-time continuum likely doesn't result in 2 other players getting hurt.

TRM Verified Member Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 I don't hate it. He's only up until Hutch comes back, probably. Get him two Dickey starts, two extra days off for Russ. Hague down, I assume.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 This is good, Thole can't be much worse than Martin has been since he started struggling, and they need to get that guy off his feet a bit. I was actually hoping they'd sit Martin throughout the full 2-game set against the Phillies, which would have given him four straight days of rest.

It's a good start.

Really odd gibby started Martin game 2 with the off day the next day.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 Its funny how Martin is hurt and he still looks like a stud out there last night. Him hurt is still a better catcher then Navarro and Thole put together
