jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Get a PS4, xbox is crap. MLB the show is worth a ps4 alone. I got a PS4 and that game. Great game, BTW..
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Jays / Orioles ALDS or ALCS would be awesome. Impossible to happen barring a KC meltdown. It'll be either us playing KC (if we win the wild card) or against the winner of the AL West, either the Angels/Astros/Rangers (yes, even the Rangers are in it).

Here is how the end of the season will look: ALE: Jays ALC: KC ALW: LAA WC1: HOU WC2: BAL Jays will have the best record in the AL Orioles will win the WC playoff this will lead to a Jays / Orioles ALDS

Tanaka, Eovaldi, Pineda, CC, Severino/Nova is a really solid rotation and their offense is good enough. I'd be shocked if they didn't make the playoffs

I'd be shocked if they didn't make the playoffs i think the Yankees will slip right out. we play them 10 more times and i see us taking 8 or 9 of 10. That, along with Oriole wins, vaults them. The Yankees have been playing over their heads thus far and they will be crashing down to earth here fairly quick. The sweep at the hands of out boys in blue over the weekend puts them in a funk.

The Yankees have a better chance to win the division than the Jays at this point, and you're pencilling them in to miss the playoffs. wowza

I think you need to temper your expectations. 8/9 against them is not happening lol, especially with a 4 game series still in New York

LTR Verified Member Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Amazing we are 61-52 overall and yet 12-23 in 1-run games... if we won half of those 1-run games instead we'd be 67-46 and dominating the division.

Effit Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Yes we've improved and yes we just swept the Yankees, but some of you are really setting yourself up for disappointment if you think the Yanks are just going to roll over and die. Not gonna happen.
LTR Verified Member Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 My system calcs 61% chance to win tomorrow with default line-ups but projections are pessimistic on Graveman and optimistic on Hutch so it's less than that IMO.

Jayzfan79 Verified Member Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 if we finish the season 29-20, that gives us a record of 90-72. ya no. 34-15 is what i see minimum with a record of 95-67, if not better. we play: Yankees - 10 (8 wins) Orioles - 7 (4 wins) Rays - 6 (4 wins) Red Sox - 6 (5 wins) Tigers - 3 (2 wins) Indians - 3 (2 wins) Angels - 3 (1 win) Rangers - 3 (2 win) Athletics - 3 (3 wins) Phillies - 2 (2 wins) Braves - 3 (1 win)

Why are you so sure we're gonna dominate the Yanks and then lose 2/3 to the Braves? I don't get it

We're not winning 8/10 from the Yanks. 6 is more reasonable. And you're assuming we beat Gray on Wed.

Tues is scheduled as Graveman vs Hutch Wed is scheduled as Brooks vs Buehrle Thurs is scheduled as Gray vs Dickey And vs Gray earlier in the year it isn't like he shut us down as you are making it out.

All we should focus on doing is winning series and sweeping a team like the Phillies in a two gamer.

Baseball Player Verified Member Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Without an in depth analysis I believe the 93 team scored 847 runs and the current team has scored 597 runs in 113 games so far, which is on pace for 855 runs. All the other factors come in after that, like different players on those teams. You could ask what version of the 1993 and 2015 teams were the best because each team has had different players.
