Why does someone who was already deemed ban worth get to keep coming back under new accounts? Isn't is common practice to ban Dogg accounts on first sight? Why is this different?

Dogg doesn't get banned on first sight though. He's one of accounts I have on IL that has a CamelCase name. For whatever reason the mods have decided that bans only apply to accounts, not people.

Just because a few slip through the cracks doesn't mean that the mods don't ban accounts simply for being recognizable as the Dogg.

2. We have zero way of stopping people from just creating a new account.

3. So when we see someone we know has trolled in the past doing relatively harmless posts, I ignore it and let them post. They tend to get their fill through that account and don't bother us that much.

To me that's the bigger issue and we can't control it all. The other problem is people feeding said trolls.

Moogy's post is actually pretty sensible. I don't think he should be banned but he should strive to keep threads on-topic.

 

Shouldn't be banned but probably should be universally ignored... it's impossible to have normal discussions with him derailing every thread.

There are a few who post here that fall into that list. Actually not sure many care for my presence, but I still enjoy reading and talking about the Blue Jays / baseball... so... whatever.

Not sure if addressed at me specifically but the shoe fits. I had already given up and put him on ignore as I stated in this last argument. I didn't mean to get so inlvolved and I had ignored him up until this thread but then I made the mistake of thinking I could just try to make a point with Moogy. He can't just merely disagree with you. He can't just take it or leave it. He has to be argumentative to the point of turning everything into the f***ing' Spanish inquisition and I really should have let it go sooner but he just gets on my nerves so fukin' much that I inevitably fall into the Moogy vortex and it's pretty dumb because he practically seems to live to argue and I actually hate it. I strive for honesty without needless provocation and feel pretty damn miserable when I fail at that. He's pretty much to a T the kind of poster I strive not to be and he irritates me to no end. In any case, I put this newest account on ignore as well but not before also reporting it for the rationale I discussed above. I figured if he was ban worthy before then I don't see why he's not ban worthy now. I certainly would have respected the mods decision either way. I'll continue to put him on ignore at first sight in the future lest I be tempted to try and engage with the miserable S.O.B.

I'm sorry to have to say this but some of you are just too sensitive and insecure! Moogy might be a narcissistic ******* but he still brings more to the table than the majority of the people here. I'd much rather read his posts than the majority of the whining that's constantly going on here.
