I'm fine with going after pitchers as long as they keep signing high upside international bats. Hoping they break the cap after signing Vlady and land a couple more big bats.

GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 GD and King skip school tomorrow. We need you scouts here tomorrow for Day 2. I'll be here, no exams today. Wtf is up with Nix falling so far? Maybe the HS kids like Everett and Demi want too much $$$ but isn't Nix a JuCo guy?
Frag Verified Member Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 KATOH for college pitchers. Warning: Don't look at where Harris ranks...

Got one part wrong...I'm really quite pleased. This org is completely behind me now. It was interesting to hear that draft wise Friedman and the others in Tampa disagreed as Friedman wanted to go against the numbers and draft pitching early. Tampa showed it this year taking prep bats so far.

IMG Academy post Prep (he trains with the high school guys and it's still being coached as well as any College program out there, its just a question of competition but being Florida playing post prep is still probably as good as small conference ball) allows him to still go to college without any eligibility issues. NCAA hasn't decided if he can take a scholarship though. His demands may still be high. Would seem odd though as he just seems to want to play pro ball. It might be a situation where every team just happens to have one player ahead of him available. Edited June 9, 2015 by TheHurl
