flafson Verified Member Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Any idea which channel shows the first game today? My TV guide doesn't show anything for 1pm.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Zimmerman, Scherzer, Gonzalez. There's a strong chance we don't win a game. Jays fair 'especially' bad vs good pitching. Let's just hope they put Casey Janssen in a couple games... he's a shadow of his former self and his top velocity down nearly 5mph. He's throwing taters out there, will located taters probably, but taters nevertheless. Gonzalez isn't pitching this series. Taylor Jordan is Wednesday's starter (if not needed in relief, otherwise it'd be some AAA scrub.)
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Gibby better hope we win a game or two this series because Houston is next up....the hot seat might be scorching after that series Go Blue Jays!!!!
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 All 5 of our starters have given up more home runs this season than any of Washington's starters. Pitching > Offense and we're about to get a demo of that. No, we're about to get a demo of what it's like to have an excellent offense and excellent pitching at the same time.

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Must have just changed! I checked it earlier and it was Gonza. MLB.com says Gonzalez doesn't pitch until Thursday vs. the Cubs. Wednesday's starter is TBA. http://washington.nationals.mlb.com/news/probable_pitchers/index.jsp?c_id=was

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 No, we're about to get a demo of what it's like to have an excellent offense and excellent pitching at the same time. Don't bet on it. Span is out of the lineup, and Harper can't do everything.. this team was swept by the Reds over the weekend. And that rotation isn't actually that great outside of Scherzer. And Yunel is due for regression.. with a unsustainable .358 BABIP, he's due for a drop. Same for Bryce Harper and his .354 BABIP.. this isn't actually a good team, especially with Rendon, Span and Werth out of the lineup, and no Fister, Strasburg, and others.

TheHurl Site Manager Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 I think it's likely the Jays sweep them.
LTR Verified Member Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Donaldson must feel like he's playing with a bunch of has-beens and misfits
LTR Verified Member Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 50% chance Harper hits a HR in his first AB

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2015 Author Posted June 2, 2015 An outfielder....what is this?
Jonzo Verified Member Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Lolabello probably doesnt make that catch
TheHurl Site Manager Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Harper is still a fastball hitter mainly. Part of his breakout this season is that he is seeing more. Not to say he isn't a great hitter...I'm still a Bryce will be a HOF'er, but a guy like Dickey is a good match-up for him (at least the first couple times around)
