Notes:

Jays:

  • Aaron Sanchez, will look to build off the career-high 7 1/3 innings he threw for the Blue Jays his last time out. Sanchez, who's been struggling with walks this season, has been able to reel in the free passes of late. After allowing six in a May 2 start, he's given up one fewer in each of his last three outings, though he still leads the Major Leagues with 32 entering play Saturday.

Mariners:

  • Taijuan Walker continues to seek consistency in what has been a rough season so far for him. Walker, lasted only 3 2/3 innings his last time out, the third time this season he's been unable to pitch at least four frames in a start. Walker pitched one of his best games last September in Toronto when he allowed one run on four hits in eight innings in a 1-0 loss. He struck out six.

Here's the golden question: How many runs will we need to score so we can lose by 1?

4. Sanchez leaves with the lead and Gibby starts Loup in the eighth with nobody else warming.

Here's a better question, when do we start panicking? 10 games under .500?

Maicer Izturis suffered an injury in Saturday's rehab game and will undergo an MRI.

his window of relevance was closed as soon as Travis is healthy anyways.

lol is that really a big deal

Yes? I would rather him than who ever we're throwing out in the middle infield these days. Besides it sucks to see him get injured again

jays have the ability to make bad pitchers look good. hopefully they get on Walker early and often
