burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 At least the ump has a small strike zone.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Wat, not even a check with the first base ump?
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Buchholz is garbage. Different ump and he could be pitching "well" lol
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 At least the ump has a small strike zone. Not good for Dickey at all
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Attaboy EE. Looking like the slugger that we all know and love.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 So, just keep the bats on your shoulders 'til 2 strikes...
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 The ump seems to just be making the strike zone up as he goes.
ScientificReason Verified Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 3 walks in the inning no runs. Be pulled a Sanchez.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 the lineup after EE is just awful. All below average hitters.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Buchhol was not good and the ump didn't help. Jays missed a big opportunity
baubau Verified Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 I honestly hope Gibby pulls Thole and puts Martin in there by the 2nd or 3rd.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Maybe if it wasn't for Dickey needing Josh f***ing Thole then a good hitter would have been up.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 3 walks in the inning...0 runs
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 When RA is s*** and we have to send Pillar up after Edwin in the order (and Thole later) the price of having a knuckler hits you in the face. We made Clay B work but could not get the hit we needed.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Those pink bats would make killer gifts.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 When RA is s*** and we have to send Pillar up after Edwin in the order (and Thole later) the price of having a knuckler hits you in the face. We made Clay B work but could not get the hit we needed. We also don't get the benefit of "The Dickey Effect". He seems to be pitching the last game of the series more often than not lately...
baubau Verified Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Is there a RA Dickey effect for our own players? Seems like we don't score till he is OUT of the game haha.
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 seriously pisses me off that red hot Martin is sitting for Dickey's little pet.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Maybe if it wasn't for Dickey needing Josh f***ing Thole then a good hitter would have been up. lol you do know Sunday's are usually days for the backup catcher anyway. Martin isn't going to catch 145 games..
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Dickey can't get swings and misses anymore.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 lol you do know Sunday's are usually days for the backup catcher anyway. Martin isn't going to catch 145 games.. It didn't have to be Josh Thole...some teams have good backups.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 We also don't get the benefit of "The Dickey Effect". He seems to be pitching the last game of the series more often than not lately... Martin had an off day Thurs. He has been hitting the crap out of the ball and we so need him today. Pillars WAR is 1.3 with a .670 OPS just behind Martins 1.5. It ain't for his stick.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Good play by the MIF, did all they could.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Dickey can't get swings and misses anymore. He can but his stuff is all up today so far. They are teeing off. Another long day for pen.
