Has anyone on this board watched Bauer pitch this year? This has been typical of him.. he doesn't allow many hits, but walks are an issue..

There were numerous pitches right down the middle, several hard hit balls first 2 innings as well. You don't need a hit to score a runner from third less then 2 outs.

If we got a few fluke hits against a dominant pitcher and our 9 guy was up, maybe I could understand bunting. But when it is 2-0 after her walked the 7 and 8 guys then whyyyy not at least take a pitch.

It doesn't always screw the team over but a strategy of conceding progress is likely going to result in... well, not getting as much progress as possible.
