Amaro is probably asking for the moon. On his contract, Sanchez + Castro/Osuna seems fair. Shouldn't be giving up elite prospects (Pompey, Hoffman) for a FA contract.

I'd give up all three for Hamels (Sanchez, Osuna, Castro). It's clear Sanchez is a reliever, and the Jays have already started destroying Castro's confidence/arm/role right before your eyes. It would essentially be Osuna for Hamels in that scenario. I'd be down.

I'd likely be on board if the Phillies ate some salary, seems like payroll is very tight since they did nothing to the pen despite all the useful arms available.

It's sort of nuts, but I doubt many pitchers, let alone the top ones, would have the Jays at the top of their list. By the same token, I only know of Anibal Sanchez as a top FA SP that AA reportedly pursued so who knows.
