Im sure he's just playing catch. Would be pretty hard for him to be throwing hard with a healing ACL on his landing leg.

I'd rather he not rush and get back to 100%, rather than stick him in the pen only to have him re-injure it, or injure something else because he's compensating for his leg.

I don't know why so many people think he's gonna try to pitch if he's not 100%. That's not gonna happen.

 

However, if his rehab goes well, and he is 100%, and gets medical clearance, then there's no reason not to bring him back into the fold...if he's physically ready.

 

That's true, and would be good, but you often hear of guys rushing back from injuries only to get hurt again, and I'll I'm saying is that I don't want that to happen to Storman.

Stroman pitching in September wouldn't break any medical science records. It is within the realm of possibility. It's far too early to determine if his body is healing faster than the norm or not and the position of the team will determine if they would consider letting him pitch if his rehab is going well.
