Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 The Blue Jays have designated infielder Steve Tolleson, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports on Twitter. With the move, the club has cleared roster space for the activation of outfielder Michael Saunders. The 31-year-old Tolleson saw just 12 plate appearances this year for Toronto, picking up three hits and a walk. He saw his most extensive MLB action last year with Toronto, slashing .253/.308/.371 in 189 plate appearances. Tolleson has seen limited action in two other seasons. toodles
Caper Verified Member Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 Duck I hate the Rays. They always play this team hard. They could play with a team made of A ball players and win. Also. I hate auto correct.

KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 No way!! They DfA'd him already?? Lol Already? How much long after Saunders' activation was it going to take? The fact that he played so poorly tonight is more coincidence than anything else.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 Probably the last we see of Tolleson. Someone will claim him. most of us wish we hadn't seen him today.

The fact that he played so poorly tonight is more coincidence than anything else. It was a decision they didn't want to make. Since Reyes is still banged up they really couldn't send Goins down just in case and Tolleson was the odd man out. the fact that they chose to wait one more day was painful to watch but not the reason he was let go. no room at the inn.
