There are better options than Sanchez though. Estrada, Osuna, Hendriks, Francis, Boyd etc.

Estrada maybe. Osuna when he is stretched out, yes. The others, no. Francis? C'mon

Oh don't get me wrong, I think the Jays made a excellent trade. I am just saying it isn't a "fleece" by any means yet. I also am looking at Gose's numbers and damn, 0% BB with a .571 BABIP. He's going to crash hard soon.

And a near 1/3rd K rate too. And he did walk tonight.. so his BB rate is up to 2.8%. And he's K'ing 36% of time.. Juan Francisco bad, without the power.

I was using the "reductio ad absurdum" rhetorical technique to belittle your position. Trust me, it was very witty.

You know you're being witty when you have to tell everyone you're being witty. You're probably also the guy that laughs at his own jokes when nobody else does.

P.S.> You reminded me it's time I made a signature!

Im not sure Osuna would be a good option as a starter. The velocity will be down and he's an extreme flyball pitcher who also doesn't have that good command. Estrada would be my choice.

Arm strength is also a concern with Osuna. I wouldn't consider him for more than spot work.

Estrada's velocity is worse and he's the worst flyball pitcher in the bigs last year!

agree... he hasn't pitched a lot. If I remember correctly he only pitched about 35 innings last year in A and high A ball. so he could probably do 70+ innings if he got a couple weeks to go to AAA and stretch out. that's only about 10 games and he'd need to be shut down in early August.

We needed relievers experienced relievers, and this is what AA went with

The outcries were ignored.

He wasn't going to lose top prospects for relievers and he didn't have the money for the relievers that were FAs. Instead he got us Donaldson, Martin and Saunders. He also got us Travis at second in a trade. Except for Saunders it's working pretty good for us so far. I wouldn't bet on your sig, probably another 5 year contract for AA coming up. AA is a workaholic and I'm fine with him.

Sooo, MJ is back and King's banned, joke? *sighs*

Even more disconcerting is how you keep getting away with posting the way you do unscathed.

Decided to read the orioles hangout while having my morning coffee. By far the dumbest fanbase in professional sports.

"Dempsey mentioned some suspicion that there may still be something funky in regards to stealing signs. He didn't outright say it, but was thinking something's not right when a small guy like Travis hits that kind of bomb to CF. Is that still a thing in Toronto, some kind of scout stealing signs in those apartments or whatever?"

Just read that after Tuesday's game, Rick Dempsey said that the Jays have not done anything to warrant all their showboating.

What Showboating? Only time I remember that is when the O's started throwing at jays batters.

Sometimes you have to explain things to the slower children so that they feel included.

Who is Rick Dempsey? Oh right, nobody important, so we should ignore his stupidity.

I'd be moving Hendriks to rotation before Estrada, Sanchez to pen and eventually closer role, send Castro to AAA, bring back Delabar who currently hasn't walked a batter yet in 4IP.

Was this from yesterday because apparently he was going to interview Buck Showalter as well.

Yeah, the Buck interview is on there too, just search "high heat" in the MLB Video section. It was pretty inconsequential and PC; he basically said that the Jays are the best pure-talent team in the AL East and that the Orioles will just have to play better. Didn't give any comment on what Bautista said about him, basically tip-toed around the whole incident.

Someone should spray paint swastikas on the backs of their shirts while they're not looking. Gives a whole new context to those shirts.
