Lawrie was not trying for the bag...if he was he would have stayed on the bag. If you honestly believe this than we may as well end this right here.

There is nothing to end since, as I said earlier, it was Lawrie's momentum that made his 1 spike go up and right over the bag, as your picture shows.

This happens all the time. As I also said earlier, Dejesus slid into Travis even though Travis had stepped away from the bag. This also happens all the time.

That's f***ing ********. That pitch to Markakis was right down the f***ing cock, I don't care if it handcuffed Martin or not.

Freeman is a decent actor and a great hitter.

1-5 home stand. Nice.

Hopefully the baseball gods won't curse us with 5 out of 6 home losses to start the year.

Dickey's first walk had a 2 to 2 pitch that was a strike that was called a ball too. Those two blown calls cost the jays 2 runs...

3 runs...but yeah.

I think we are arguing different things. I'm saying that Lawrie should have been going for the bag and staying on it as he would have been safe. He's just too single minded to adjust. The type of slide and the side of the bag that Lawrie went to is intended to break up a double play. I'm saying that breaking up a double play, on a play where no double play is possible, is just stupid and probably dirty. The slide isn't the issue, it's the slide in the situation.

Happens all the time, but it's alright, let's move on.
