Orioles hangout is as uneducated of a fanbase as you will see. I didn't read much whining about Bautista but rather their comments about Gibby were as ignorant as you could get. Saying stuff like he strikes me as a guy in over his head, he learned to manage from reading Managers for Dummies, he just copies other managers etc.

 

The ironic thing is in out of the 6 games we have played to date by far the most egregious move I have seen from a manager was Buck matching up O'Day to face Bautista.

Must say very nice way to start the year, with a positive divisional road trip. Now need to bear down and get some pitching going. Dickey and Burly look the same, and Norris can survive, but can't say the same for Sanchez.

 

All is well on the offense side though

It would be hard to bench him after the way he's busted ass the last 2 series, it's not like he's a black hole at the plate either. I think we will see a platoon to start.

Rotate Pillar through the outfield. It would give MS time off the turfn Bautista could DH (or 1st if OK with him) and Pompey a break. Pillar as of now has been the top OF.

It's funny because a lot of Blue Jays fans, including myself, would feel the same way about Baltimore (I don't hate every player though, just some). Hopefully the birds can become long term rivals atop the division.

Edwin - too quiet and humble

Reyes - too smiley

Travis - too little

Martin - Canadian

Hutch - too handsome and quiet

Buehrle - too respectful

Norris - too enlightened and self-aware

Dickey - too wise

Pillar - too dumb and gritty

 

For real though, I guess Norris is a bit of a doucher and Dickey can come off as conceited.
