ScientificReason Verified Member Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 Why all the negativity? 6ip, 2er, 6 hits, 6 ks, 2bb Faith in sanchez as a starter is low here.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 I'm going to guess he'll have the same line as he did from his first start of the season last year.
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 1 WIN only stat that matters!
ScientificReason Verified Member Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 I would love it if someone kept a log of all of these predictions. The negative trolls would probably have Sanchez with an ERA of 17.86 for the season. I'd love to tabulate the Accountants.....er... I mean 'their' predictions and see how exaggerated their hate really is. And no... I'm not basing this on one prediction. Sanchez could very well only last 1 inning and give up 6 runs today... But something tells me this will be a familiar prognostication from start to start. Since when is not always being positive or singing everyones praises make one a troll? Cry Moar. Most preditcions here seem pretty fair, take the sand out of your vagina.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 5 innings, 3 er, 4k, 4bb, leaves the game with the Jays winning 10-3
ScientificReason Verified Member Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 Show me where I said one had to always be positive. You guys must be bi-polar or something cause you seem to think it's one way or the other. There are reasons to be positive and there are reasons to be negative... But some of you can only see negatives... Ever. Let's take Sanchez... We all know command has always been a struggle (as a starter)... But you seem to think that he's incapable of throwing strikes... Ever. The truth is that he's inconsistent. Sometimes he'll look lights out and everything is working... Other times... Like his last ST start, he's a complete mess. But I doubt that some of you will ever realize that and get that the talent will sometimes prevail and he'll have some stellar performances. But go ahead and keep up your negative persona. It suits you. Please show me where I said he is incapable of throwing strikes? You are seeing things that don't exist. What negative persona? Where was I negative in this thread? Maybe you have me mixed with someone else? You are projecting things That don't exist....Yet you call others bi-polar. Again waiting for you to show me all this negativity from me and where I said he cannot throw strikes. Either way it is ALLOWED to be down on someone if someone think there are not ready for the rotation. Good luck getting through life if others opinions make you this sooky

I sometimes think some are too down on Sanchez, but then I go back to how disappointing he's been since his Lansing days and remember that some of the posts are based on his MiLB numbers. I think what most are saying is that they want to see improvement in his command and secondary pitches. Right now, all they have is the evidence from his MiLB numbers and he just hasn't been good. I certainly hope he does well.

SAAviour Verified Member Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 I predict today is the start of him regaining his Sanchize nickname. I predict only 2 Ks with 2 walks, and about 12-14 lazy ground ball outs. I also think having Sanchez as a #5 is so much better then a guy like Estrada due to the potential. Go jays! 4 and 1 coming up!!!

ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 Go back and read my first post. I said it wasn't about a 1 game prediction. I said I want to see the patterns of how some people predict. I predicted a so-so start today because it's in Baltimore...I think they have a pretty tough lineup... And I think it being his first start of the season will have him amped up. I also said there are reasons why one can be both positive and negative. Let's look back after 10 Sanchez predictions and see who has him with an ERA of 15, who has him with an ERA of 1... And who has him around 4.5. It's his first career start so you may have to adjust your ampometer. My point stands, most posters are going by his numbers in the minors and would love for Sanchez to show improved command and secondary pitches.

ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 Maybe I should've said over-amped. I think he might try to do too much rather than staying within himself. We'll find out soon. Don't get me wrong, I want him to do good. I just think you're overreacting to some posters. Some of them are messing around with their predictions in this thread, but the overall negative trend is based on his numbers in the minors although a few definitely seem to have a dislike for him. Anyway, we'll see what happens.
