Sanchez had been in a coma since he was struck in the head by a boat propeller in a swimming accident off the coast of Carupano, Veneuzual on Feb. 13, just two weeks after his 20th birthday. Sanchez, a 6-foot, 255-pound right-hander, spent three seasons in the Mariners farm system after signing a $2.5 million minor-league contract in 2011. RIP.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 This really sucks. I remember really wanting the Jays to sign this guy off the IFA market a few years ago. Had a great name too. Rest in peace.
