yeah, I could just hire a dude to help me ... but what the hell ... i'll just throw this out there:

Any young Jays fan out there in the GTA (don't have to be "big and strong") wanna help me move my stuff out of storage into a one bedroom condo for a few hours on either March 31 or April 1 or April 2?

In exchange, i'll give you a pair of first row ("Premium Dugout") tickets behind home plate for one of the following games:

vs Rays April 15-16

vs. Twins August 4-6

vs. Indians August 31

Cheers

If you're looking for a male hooker it's probably better to look on backpage.com

I'm jk. Goodluck on the search. Probably better sites to advertise/look on though.

What are you moving, exactly? I can help but I cant utilize the index finger on my left hand.

just the usual furnishings for a one bedroom apartment ... but no sofa nor dining room (thank god) ... the only thing really awkward is the huge heavy mattress (so wifey probably will have to help with another pair of hands with that.)

That shouldn't be fine, then. I sent you a PM earlier.

Can you be more specific than GTA? How young do you have to be?

Age is not a factor so long as one's fit enough to help me move stuff.

The move will be in Toronto/North York.

Stuff's in storage at Don Mills & Eglinton and moving to Yonge & Sheppard.

Don't know the exact day yet.

Right in my area...but that is the CSTA conference and I'm working it all week.

Yonge & Sheppard is a good spot. I go to the gym there occasionally. They got a new grocery store on the SE corner too.

Yonge and Sheppard is awesome if you like living in a neighbourhood with zero street life and a bunch of Korean restaurants.

lol. Well it sounds like he has a wife so i doubt he's worried about the nightlife scene. Yonge+Shep is okay....they have a new wholefoods Grocery store, diverse restaurants, and a couple pubs/bars and easy access to downtown.

Korean food is also pretty awesome. It's a pretty legit spot to live if you have no kids and a wife.

Thanks for the tip haha. Wife & I are just renting during the baseball season. We spend the other half of the year in Medellin, Colombia ... great street life there!

Can confirm the Korean part.

psh haters.

I've been passing through that intersection for the past 4 years and it's changed a bit. I've been watching those two high rises get built up out of nothing. I used to take pictures everyday and build up a timelapse of it being built. The southeast one is poorly designed - one of the exhaust vent stacks on top of the supermarket blows right into the condo units. Who knows what that smells like. Traffic is bad there too since the highway is nearby.

I'm sure we'd all love to live near Spadina downtown and eat dimsum everyday but uptown isn't so bad. Good schwarma place north of there too.

In defense of Yonge and Shep, if there were some reason that I only had access to one specific cuisine for the rest of my life I might legit choose Korean.

I grew up at Yonge & Sheppard, but haven't lived there in 10 years. Holy f***stick has it changed a lot. My beautiful pub is now a f***ing sushi place...

I'd rather live at Yonge/Sheppard than at Dundas/Spadina. Spadina is a complete ghetto. Half of the buildings are burned out or completely run down. The Chinese take zero pride in taking care of their properties. It's pretty bad.

Yonge and Sheppard is just a horrible mixture of suburbia & poorly designed buidlings. It's just so dreary up there.

Yonge & Sheppard is also for some reason the windiest intersection in TO, at least by my nipple calculations.

(just for the record) the pad ain't gonna be right at Yonge & Sheppard lol

... that intersection was just mentioned (for those in the GTA but outside of Toronto) as the general ballpark of where i'm considering moving to ... but I haven't finalized anything just yet ... because it's hard to get a short term lease.
