Holy s*** Miguel Castro is awesome.

97 (pop out)

97 (groundout)

95 (groundout)

He showed all 3 of his pitches ( I think the 87MPH pitch was his change-up) and showed command. SSS of course.

Hopefully, they give him another inning.

That slider looked pretty nasty from Castro.

There have been mixed reports on his off-speed pitches. Some say his slider is weak and change is potential plus, others have said great slider weak change. It looked pretty good there.

It'll be the whole Aaron Sachez debate again with Castro.

In what way? Starter vs. reliever?

Castro has always thrown strikes.

I don't believe AA for a second that Castro could make the team. No way he cuts a guy without options in order to bring a kid from A ball to the big leagues - that would just be so out of norm with how this team has operated.

If anything he's just pumping up his trade value because they don't love his mechanics or his chance to be a SP long term.

f***, I come in and everyone of interest leaves the game.

I'm interested to see how Delabar does, I think we need him to be effective this year.

That's not the main thing that makes somebody a starter over a reliever.

I would take the other side of that bet. Not sure who all has run out of options, but likely somebody he would be comfortable losing to make the team better. Really I think AA thinks using high upside pitching prospects he can have a decent bullpen for no money.

Man, the dugout looks way to congested....if the jays build a new spring training facility, they should make the dugouts twice the size lol
