It just sucks Alford decided so late to focus just on Baseball. Kind of shocked he got invited to Spring but they have no choice but to try to fast track him because he will need to be protected on the 40-man.

 

I think the spring invite was part of the deal the Jays offered to get him to focus solely on Baseball
