I must be an idiot for not knowing who he is

You are just young. Dave Henderson was a pretty decent player. Not a household name for a lot of fans in his day. Had one very big hit in the playoffs.

Had two actually, in the same postseason, except the homerun in game 6 ended up redundant. But he was a really good player in the playoffs SSS be damned.

6.4 WAR season in 1988.

I certainly remember him from those awesome A's teams in the late 80's - early 90's. That's right when I first really got into baseball at like age 9-10. Always thought he was Ricky's brother. Haha. Bob Welch, Carney Langford, Dave Stewart, the Henderson brothers, Jose, Big Mac and Eck...

Just looking at old A's stats....funny to see 2015 Estrada was as valuable at Bob Welch was in 1990 when he want 27-6.

Was Bob Welch the poster child for the devaluing the 'win'????

I'm always amazed that no NHL players are ever named......even NBA players seem to avoid these claims to some extent...

Fantastic story about the doping

Includes a lot of MLB stuff as well.

The moment they paint PED's as an evil in sport I found it un-watchable.

I don't think PED use is half as bad as the s*** athletes normally do but I still found it to be a great story. Amazing undercover work and its very interesting nonetheless. Funny that the first 2 doctors were located in Vancouver.

Everyone in that story is probably sweating bullets right now.

lol @ that scrub Teagarden. He's probably so embarrassed every time he talks to people in the doping scene.

"Oh you won a gold medal? Ya man.. that Delta-2 stuff is really great. Did it work for me? Ya man... ya.. had like 100 ABs in the past 4 years, played for a few different teams here and there. Got to see many cities in our great country you know? Ha.. ha.."

Didn't Teagarden win an Olympic medal?

Chapman, Miller, and Betances. Not bad.

Considering they traded Warren and Wilson away, this deal was basically a necessity. Plus, there's a risk of Betances/Miller regressing.. Yankees are just trying to avoid this risk.
