Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Well, Goins. Muni is just a racist self-deprecating mascot. lol...this!
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Goins is super utility. I'm comfortable with him backing up 2B, SS and even 3B. I would imagine he can play all 3 just fine.

Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Pretty happy about that. Didn't want him back, especially for two years. I'm not sure I understand the 2 year deal when there are other similar guys who may not even get big league deals. I'm thinking Pete Kozma, Clint Barmes, and probably several others.

itaos Verified Member Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Jeff Passan @JeffPassan Source: Rich Hill agrees to terms with Oakland. One-year deal for $6 million, pending physical.
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Pretty cheap pickup for OAK.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Such an Oakland move. Faaaaawwwwk!!!

Talks did not progress. Ken Rosenthal @Ken_Rosenthal 32s32 seconds ago #Braves wanted piece from #DBacks’ major-league core, sources say - perhaps Pollock, who, like Miller, is under club control three more yrs. Ken Rosenthal @Ken_Rosenthal 31s31 seconds ago Pollock for Miller is not an unreasonable request, if that is indeed what #Braves wanted. But #DBacks were not comfortable with such a deal. lol The Braves are dumn. Everyone knows the conversation on Pollock starts with Mark Appel and goes from there.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Braves GM John Coppolella adamantly denied to USA Today’s Bob Nightengale that the Braves will even entertain the notion of trading their first baseman. “I cannot make it any more clear: We are not trading Freddie Freeman,” Coppolella said. “We are not. I’d give my right arm before we trade Freddie Freeman. It is not happening.”
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Freddie Freeman for D.J Davis. That should get John Coppolella to change his stance.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Hey now! --- Report: Marlins not shopping Jose Fernandez http://www.rotoworld.com/images/headshots/MLB/6744.jpg Joe Frisaro of MLB.com hears from two "highly-placed sources" that the Marlins are not shopping Jose Fernandez nor is he being discussed to be shopped. Craig Mish of Sirius XM and 790 The Ticket in Miami reported earlier in the day Tuesday that there's "growing sentiment" around baseball and internally with the Marlins that Fernandez will be traded this winter. Frisaro hears otherwise, but there's always the chance that something could change. Marlins president David Samson recently said that Fernandez turned down a contract extension, which is no surprise given that Scott Boras is his agent. It's worth noting that the Marlins are feuding with Boras, not only about Fernandez's innings limit for 2016, but also their handling of Marcell Ozuna. It seems likely that Fernandez will be traded at some point, even if it isn't this winter. The 23-year-old is under team control through 2018.

Also, doesn't consider Kimbrel's talent vs salary at all (how much Kimbrel projected to actually be "worth" now and last year). red sox fan boy
