Nafro Verified Member Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 I don't think he uses it to focus better on Buck Showalter's pre-game pep talks.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 ooooh goodie been a while since one of these
BTS Community Moderator Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Its a stimulant used to treat ADD and ADHD. Its an amphetamine. I think it is used basically as legal speed. I think it would help you turn on a fastball. I think it would improve your hand eye coordination ever so slightly. (The difference between missing a pitch by a fraction of an inch: deep fly balls become home runs) I think if you had trouble paying attention in class they would feed it to you to help you "pay attention" and quit being a distraction. I think the year you didn't get your exemption to take it you would have an ISO of 0.209,and than take it anyway because you saw the difference it made, so you got suspended. I think the year before that and the year after that when you took it your ISO would be 50 percent more (>0.3). I think there is no such thing as legit ADHD. I think every intelligent person could be diagnosed with ADHD.I'm sure you'd see the same thing if you took the SSRI from a person prone to depression or the insulin from a person who's diabetic.
Nafro Verified Member Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 You're an absolute moron. Try learning something before running your stupid mouth. That's kind of funny. Your right, my biological engineering degree gives me no knowledge of what I'm talking about. So in your professional opinion Adderall would have no benefit to a task involving quick twitch muscles and hand eye co-ordination Dr. Boxcar?
Nafro Verified Member Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 I'm sure you'd see the same thing if you took the SSRI from a person prone to depression or the insulin from a person who's diabetic. No they would probably die or kill themselves....but close.

I like your high and mighty tone here for such a clueless dipshit.
BTS Community Moderator Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 No they would probably die or kill themselves....but close. So SSRIs to treat depression is valid, but adderall to treat ADHD isn't?
Laika Community Moderator Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Chris Davis didn't apply for a therapeutic use exemption in 2014 OR in 2013. So you can't say his 2013 monster numbers were from popping A
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 No they would probably die or kill themselves....but close. Take the SSRI from: Depression (kills themselves) Diabetic (dies) ADHD (nothing????) Degrees nowadays
Nafro Verified Member Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 No, obviously it doesn't. I like your high and mighty tone here for such a clueless dipshit. I'm pretty confident I know what I'm talking about. I'll base my opinion on scientific fact and clinical proof, to go along with the proper statistical correlation in baseball. You just continue to try to anger me with insults to my intelligence. I'm okay with being insulted, it usually means the other person, has no other valid argument.

I'm okay with being insulted, it usually means the other person, has no other valid argument. How does a degree in an unrelated field make you any more qualified on a subject than anyone else? Perhaps it's simply you puffing out your chest and talking out your ass? Scientific fact and clinical proof are both not on your side, unless you're an idiot and don't know what those phrases mean.
Nafro Verified Member Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 So SSRIs to treat depression is valid, but adderall to treat ADHD isn't? I would say that I don't know enough about SSRI's to comment on them one way or another. I am more confident talking about ADHD and the affects of the medication to treat it,as someone who's been diagnosed with ADHD.

Laika Community Moderator Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Seriously though, that's terrible and I am floored. JOSE REYES????? really??? Did he have that big s*** eating grin on his face while he smacked her around?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Good lesson in how we don't actually know s*** about baseball players' personalities
Nafro Verified Member Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 To be fair only Chris Davis, knows the affect it has on him, and how he is using the medication.
Laika Community Moderator Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Good lesson in how we don't actually know s*** about baseball players' personalities Yeah, absofruitly. f*** Jose Reyes Also a good example of the pervasiveness and scariness of the domestic violence problem. Could be anybody.

KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 I just deleted a very offensive post about this Reyes stuff. Domestic violence is no joke so consider this a board wide warning. Next deletion will come with the ban hammer.
Nafro Verified Member Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Chris Davis didn't apply for a therapeutic use exemption in 2014 OR in 2013. So you can't say his 2013 monster numbers were from popping A He did not have an exemption in 2012 or 2013, after being denied it by the Doctor responsible for handing out exemptions in 2011. He's had a presription for it since when he was with the Rangers, so you can't say for certain he did not use it than. My degree involved biology, and clinical biomechanics. My experience playing baseball and dealing with ADHD diagnosis also helps form my opinion. If you think I have no clue about what I am talking about, I'm okay with that.

Nafro Verified Member Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Yeah, absofruitly. f*** Jose Reyes Also a good example of the pervasiveness and scariness of the domestic violence problem. Could be anybody. This could affect his visa status I would imagine. This is disappointing unfortunate news.
Nafro Verified Member Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Geez, you'd think he's good at baseball or something. I understand it doesn't make you good at baseball. It can simply be used as a stimulant to give you a slight advantage. In baseball a slight advantage is the difference between squaring something up into the stands, and flying out to the track.
BTS Community Moderator Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Damn that's hard to look at.

In which he's showed he's capable of either way, I think looking out for his health, is much more sufficient then baseball.
