Why does he do this? Didn't he get burned walking Eric Sogard to get to Marcus Semien a little while ago? What is even his rationale? Do the local reporters ask him?

It's because, and I'm being 100% serious here, he just assumes that every team bats best hitter to worst hitter in perfect order. Doesn't check stats at all, he just assumed Semien was worse because he hits behind Sogard. Did the same thing with Escobar to face Buxton.

Do you even have to check stats to know that Semien is a better hitter than Sogard? Even by reputation this should be a no brainer.

Either he doesn't know the players or, as you say, he doesn't check the data that's probably in a little binder for him right there on the bench. Has he admitted he just flat out ignores information for his gut?

Dbacks now above .500. Goldschmidt with a .331/.395/.568 slashline and 20 stolen bases to boot. All-around superstar.

Six Atlanta Braves prospects were involved in a car accident on Saturday in the DR. Five walked away with minor injuries. One broke his leg.

Pedro Encarnacion, Ruben Perez, Luis David Perez, Alexander Mojica, Randy Ventura Rodriguez, & Luis Severino (broken leg). #Braves

If he wants to win he's going to have to move to 2nd or 3rd maybe even the bench. His defense is so bad that he can't play SS anymore. And no team that wants to win is going to want that contract lol. Man Reyes declined so much. Used to be one of the best superstars in the game.

Moving to 2B or 3B won't stop balls going through his legs. Also the value difference between 2B / SS is marginal.
