It was. Yankees just took off, but they do it a lot.

I think its unlucky that the Jays just havent taken off once in the last 22 years. You think we would have gotten lucky at least once.

A-Rod and Tex having huge comeback years help, along with a dominant back end of the bullpen. This Yankees team wouldn't be in contention if A-Rod or Tex weren't healthy.

It's gotta be just s*** luck. Really s***** luck. Even last year, they were like 14 games over .500 in June and all they had to do was play .500 for the rest of the season but they couldn't even manage that.

Yanks win again tonight. But, but... the media keeps telling us that this is a "weak" division, right?

It is a weak division...just happens that is true of every division in baseball.

The triumph of hope over experience?

Seriously though, that's pretty stupid.

Jose Fernandez is already 4-0 since returning July 2nd after over a year off from Tommy John. He's accumulated 1.0 fWAR, holds a 1.98 xFIP, 0.96 WHIP and 11 K/9. He's also smacked a home run and has a 113 wRC+

He's like superman.

With this start his xFIP ballooned to an unsightly 2.47.

Time to buy low.

And the Mets are grateful for it.. Mets now only trail the Nats by 1 game. And you thought the Jays were frustrating.. try being a Nats fan!

And yet that team lost to the Marlins in the World Series.

Marlins won and then sold every asset of value.

Jeffry Loria is a terrible owner.. and it's no wonder why he hasn't been to the playoffs since (3rd longest drought after Seattle and Toronto)
