Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 lol I actually find it funny. If just a few Royals made it and Moose made it over Donaldson, I'd be a bit upset. It's just a circus freak show at this point. Just have to push Alex Rios ahead of Trout now I actually want this to be legit all Royals vs. all Cardinals to change this joke of a system. Either the game doesn't matter or it does. If it does, don't let stupid fans have a say.

This, I told a buddy that this is the best thing that could of happened because then they should be forced to change the way players get into the game and it will be the actual best player playing.

I think at this point, there's probably a lot of pissed off people from every fan base doing the same thing. And it probably that Royals fans are spreading some pretty brilliant ballot-stuffing strategies: http://www.royalsreview.com/2015/6/2/8703771/idiots-guide-to-legal-all-star-ballot-stuffing
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Do fans get to vote the All-Star STARTERS, or does the manager get to decide that?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 He seems like a pretty shy guy! I met him last week on the street and he did come off a bit shy.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Do fans get to vote the All-Star STARTERS, or does the manager get to decide that? Starters are voted by the fans, managers fill the rest of the roster.
flafson Verified Member Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Mets DFA Gee. Yes he sucks but he might be better than what we have. Hes worth a pick up for the depth alone. I would take him on league minimum (and Mets cover the rest) but i guess most teams would do the same.

Gee got lit up in the NL; I can only imagine how badly he'd get hit in the AL East. He's really no better than Copeland or whatever replacement level dreck we're running out there.

BTS Community Moderator Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 lol @ the Padres firing Bud Black despite playing about as well as anyone should have expected this year. What an awful org.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 I met him last week on the street and he did come off a bit shy. Nice! It was interesting to know that he really prepped for that game against Scherzer a few weeks ago.

Dickey was a Cy Young in the NL East and became s***** in the AL East. Same s*** will probably happen with Gee but with even worse results if he were to play for us.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Nice! It was interesting to know that he really prepped for that game against Scherzer a few weeks ago. Actually I met him two days after, on an off day, and I said "congrats on the sick home runs the other day." He was very humble and appreciative, I don't think he expected to be recognized.

guylaroche5 Verified Member Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 is anyone else terrified at how colabello is gonna defend over the next few days?
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 When the hell are the Nats going to play like the World Series threat they're supposed to be? Down 3-0 to Tampa right now..
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Nice! The last MLB player that I randomly bumped into was Jimmy Rollins, he was pretty cool too. I bumped into Jesse Litsch when I was watching the Jays play in Philly at the hotel bar. He was pretty cool and actually spent time talking with us for like 5-10 minutes. I think he had a couple of drinks in him already haha
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Miami just loaded the bases with no one out, 1 run game. So of course the Yankees bring in Sergio Santos to try to get them out of it.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Thursday. On Thursday they're gonna kick the s*** out of whoever it is they're playing. Tampa.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Yankees lose. Rays in 1st place by themselves. And the Jays can tie the Yanks with a win.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Red Sox lose again.. 11 games under .500 now (27-38). When is Farrell going to get fired?
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Cubs to promote Schwarber: just to dh wow lol

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 He won the world series a year and a half ago. Want to cut him some slack there champ. No more excuses. They spent $200M on their payroll this year.. someone in Boston needs to take the fall.

Jays have spent over 2 billion in the last 25 years and dont have a playoff appearance. Let it go. Farrell isn't the reason they are losing, they are just a bad baseball team.

They dropped from 100 - 1 to 9 to 1 in the off season. Even some smart people were thinking "maybe". Of course I know you and I, among many others here were laughing pretty hard.
