Most experts had them winning the division lol.

I will gloat slightly that while I am by no means an expert, I thought their pitching was going to suck badly enough to keep them in third... (I didn't expect their offence to suck this much, nor for them to be dead f***ing last :P )

I see the shine is coming off the astros real fast. Good to see them.losing

What are you talking about i like the Astros and i think that in next year or couple years they are going to be the team to beat in the AL. What do you have against them?

Its kind of weird to see that Snider who we all.thought had power for days has literally no power

I was a big believer of him earlier in the season (especially due to his hot second half of 2014)

but yeah he's getting worse and worse. +500 OPS this month.

The Astros offense is not good to begin with. And their pitching is weak behind their top 2.

I don't like them.

The offense has the lowest average in the AL, highest K rate, 14th in hits, and basically have been inflated by the home run (1st). Kuechel is their only quality starter, as McHugh has regressed, Feldman's on the DL, Hernandez got demoted to long relief, Brett Oberholtzer hasn't been great, and McCullers and Velasquez are raw and still uncertain assets. While it's nice to see them playing well, there's too many flaws on the Astros right now to expect them to contend this season. The only benefit is that the AL West sucks.. Angels, Mariners and A's are below .500. Keep an eye on the Rangers, though.. that team is a real threat in the AL West, providing they stay healthy and their pitching holds up until Perez, Holland and Harrison return. If they return and the Rangers are in contention, it could give the Rangers a chance to win the weak AL West.

They're just not ready yet. Their current lineup is too flawed right now, with way too many low average/high K rate players. And they need more than Carlos Correa to help..

Erik Kratz DFAd by the Royals, because they chose to keep defensively minded Drew Butera as the backup. This means none of the players from the Danny Valencia trade are with the Royals anymore.. looks like the Jays are winning the trade, especially with Hendriks back in Toronto and being a weapon out of the pen. Should we bring Kratz back?

I think AA is taking him back.

In previous years he was a good back-up catcher. I think it is clear that there is no room on the club. I'd try and get him to Buffalo and hope Navarro gets shipped shortly.

I love the game of baseball but that doesn't mean I have to like any other team besides the Jays, right? :P

I'm a one team kinda person.

#Reds SS Zack Cozart tore ligaments/biceps tendon rt knee. Out 9 months. Wonder if this provides more impetus for Cincy to become sellers

1 Chapman please

Oh man. A Martin/Kratz duo would be excellent

Its quite a shame perennial "Catcher of the futre" Jimenez sucks so much on offense. He's probably a better defender than Kratz but Kratz has a lot more power.

Can someone please explain why Erik Kratz' 2014 totals show 0.4 fwar but 0.2 for the Blue Jays & 0.1 for Royals? Shouldn't his combined numbers be equal?

Very likely due to rounding.

For example maybe he had .24 with the blue jays and .14 with the royals.

.38 would round to .4

Say his totals were 0.226 (rounded down to 0.2) and 0.126. (rounded down to 0.1). Add that up and you'd get 0.352. Round that up and you get 0.4
