For the 60th time you don't just throw your useless s*** at other teams for all of their best assets

I would agree... But we kind of just did that to Oakland.

Neither of the players going to Oakland are useless garbage that we were just dying to get rid of. Plus, a deal like that should never be made an example out of.

I don't think we are dying to get rid of Dickey are we? Also, Alford is going to be good. Graveman and Nolan are kinda... below average? The SS is highly thought of I guess.

RC is pretty s***** for watching baseball... way better and cheaper to watch at home, plus can surf the net and BJMB at leisure same time

also, rogers gets considerable revenue from sales other than tix

BTW, RC now has wi-fi.. you could surf the net at RC now.

Not much help from the Yankees.. they lead 6-2 on the Angels. At this point, I'm more worried about catching the Rays and Rangers first before going after the Yankees.

Jumbo Diaz optioned to AAA by the Reds. Would love to have him here

xFIP loves him, specially because 1 in every 4 flyball being a homerun is probably not sustainable. He has excellent peripherals, the Reds are dumn.

Going back to last year, he's just blowing the ball by hitters while limiting walks. The runs have come in bunches though with that s***** LOB%. I wonder how many GM's and Managers there are who properly assess relievers? Im going to put the O/U at 7

Of course, this Reds team is as bad as Oakland (this season) at evaluating relievers. Reds are 29th in bullpen ERA (Atlanta is the worst). And BTW, despite struggles, Jays bullpen is 19th.

Figures the yankees put a nice streak together when we do.

I'm more worried about leap-frogging the wild card teams right now. We're only a 1/2 game back of the sliding Angels (who got swept). And the Rangers aren't going to keep this pace up with Beltre and Hamilton out and a pitching staff pitching well over its head. As for the Royals.. they've got a tough stretch with Minnesota and St. Louis coming up. As for the Rays.. it will depend if they get ANY offense.

Get back to .500 and a few games over, where the team belongs, and then we can talk about division titties.

Never too early to be focusing on other teams in the division. Their wins this week are just as important as in September.

First place Twins have pulled the plug on Danny Santana at SS. He's been optioned to Rochester(AAA), Kennys Vargas recalled. Escobar will be the everyday SS there.

Trumbo... 7K's in 14 AB as a Marineer... well played Zack Zduradink.

Forget firing Gibbons and AA.. this organization in Seattle is where firings are needed! Jack Z and Lloyd McClendon both need to be fired after this horrible stand where they lost 9 of 11 to Cleveland, NYY and the Rays. Hopefully the ownership starts some firings during Seattle's off day on the way to Cleveland..

I guess we can count on a 50% k rate going forward

Everybody's favourite Hechavarria hit the game winning home run in the top of the 10th inning over the Rockies as LTR noted. Graveman pitched 7 strong for Oakland over the Red Sox but the pen blew it late. Edited by Praxis

You're so much fun I can barely stand it.

Boy it's a good thing we're winning because so is everybody else. Hard to gain ground like this. Grrrrrrr

We've picked up 2 full games in the wild card and 3 on the Royals. And someone between the Twins and Royals is going to lose ground this week.. they play each other. And the Rays and Rangers are due for regression.. especially the Rangers. No way they keep up this pace with Beltre and Hamilton hurting, and the Rays have a tough stretch coming against the Angels, White Sox and Nats.. sooner or later, that lack of offense is going to come back to haunt them.

In addition, the Twins can help the Jays (and others) by beating the Royals and Rangers.

Carlos Correa era starts in Houston tomorrow. No more dumb plays by Villar at SS(although he wasn't sent down.. Jake Buchanan was the corresponding move.)
