Travis Snider is batting 3rd with the O's.

Watch him finally put together and be the player he was supposed to be.

He had a nice 2nd half last year.

I never knew 104 games was the benchmark to determine that a player is for real.

Pearce mashed for over 100 games last year, then mashed all spring, now he's mashing in the regular season. ZiPS is buying him as a 130 wRC+ guy. Steamer is buying him as a 130 wRC+ guy. He's starting to look very real.

Walk rate was there the year before. Minor league peripherals were always good.

Has the type of name that you'd expect to break out late. Steve. Great name.

So many players mashed for over 100 games before. I don't account spring training stats for anything.

I think its possible that he turns out being for real (the type of bat like you said). Though I've never been someone who has bought into a 30 something year old after hitting great for around 100 games. I'd like to see Pearce do it again over a full season before I make up my mind on him. I'm just not fapping over him after 102 games last season and two games into this season.

Edit: Also, as a Jays fan, I hope the O's don't get lucky with him, especially after the Jays could have had him last April lol.

Yeah and knowing the luck the O's have had with some sluggers in the past like Chris Davis, Luke Scott and others, I wouldn't be shocked to see Steve Pearce be a late breakout star. If he's still hitting this way come July, then I'll buy in. His walk rates were solid and he always has had raw power.

Is this board horrifyingly slow for anyone else

Yes. Pages taking forever to load and I'm scared as f***.

Angels board so much better than this. NSFW forum (very creepy place), no cap fillers, prediction contest with good prizes, and apparel!

He also mashed for half of 2013 for the few games he was in.

Travis Snider has 3 walks in the game already? Wtf is happening

It's the O's... everything goes there way. Every player they acquire turns to gold. All their mediocre pitchers become aces.
