Good read on #PapaBuehrle that Stroman just tweeted out

http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/mark-buehrle-blue-jays-veteran/

Consider Stroman’s five-game suspension by MLB for throwing a pitch near Orioles catcher Caleb Joseph’s head. Joseph had angered Jose Reyes by stepping on Reyes’s hand during a play at the plate earlier in the game and was due up. “[stroman] came out of the dugout,” says Buehrle, “and I said, ‘Come on, let’s go, let’s go get them,’ like go out and finish the game strong. He turned around and looked at me and said, ‘Yeah?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, go finish it out.’ He thought I meant go hit him. I sat down afterward and said, ‘Dude, what are you doing hitting him?’ He’s like, ‘You told me to.’ ‘No, I didn’t tell you to hit him, I don’t know that part of the game.’”

lol

So Stroman DID intend to hit him. *dun dun dunnnnn*

I am going to miss Buehrle. Sucks that TO doesn't allow pitbulls or the Jays might have had a shot to try and convince him to stay. Probably go back to the White Sox to finish his career.

Yeah I'm going to miss him. He's that type of vetrin presents that you want on your club, especially since he can still contribute unlike Vizquel. Hopefully he'll instill these values in Stroman to carry the torch. I have no faith in Dickey being this outspoken and forward.

lol, that's awesome

Yeah I wasn't too proud of Stroman in that moment but it's kind of hilarious that it was just a big misunderstanding.

Ouch, NYY really did them selves in if he goes down.

his velocity is creeping up in the low 90s in the 4th but still not as sharp as we're used to... still think his elbows gonna go sooner rather than later.

I was told a couple days ago that the ban on Pitbulls in Ontario is going to be lifted.

Tanaka looked fantastic in his first two starts. Didn't see him today, but sitting low 90s is pretty normal.

Everyone knows Rogers doesn't really pay market rates to the Jays for the broadcasting and stuff, not to mention all the other promotional stuff. They wouldn't be maintaining our payroll at the current levels if they really were losing that kind of money.

Personally, I prefer Dr. McNinja.

He was 86-89 the first 3 innings; started to touch 90-91 in the 4th

So he sat 88 for three innings, before getting back to his usual area, and still struck out 6 and walked 1 over 4 innings, this after looking phenomenal in his first 7 innings. Better just give him TJS now.

i made the initial comment before the 4th.. again, anytime a guy with a partial torn UCL not so long ago is sitting more than 5 mph less than normal on his fastball, for me it raises a red flag... and i still believe he will need the surgery this season
