Hasn't fangraphs usually updated their player pages with ZiPS/Marcel/Oliver projections by now?

Marcel never happened last year, not sure what's going on with Oliver (but who cares), and Syzmborski hasn't gave them the connection yet I don't think (to automatically update).

It would be nice if ZiPS did things faster. Releasing the projections one team at a time, and then waiting until March to get them on FG player pages is annoying. I don't remember it ever taking this long.

This is totally off topic, but because the Internet seems to be going nuts over this thing, I wanted to see what you guys think. What two colors do you guys see on the following dress? Not a trick question or a troll, so answer honestly, lol.

It's white and gold for me.

No idea how black and blue could be seen?

I don't know, but my dad saw black and blue in it. Seems one out of every four or so people sees black and blue, but I've also noticed a lot of older people see black and blue, and if it has anything to do with age, then the online poll numbers are probably skewed toward white and gold because the internet/social media is used more by younger people.

My younger brother is one of the special ones who see brown and blue, lol.

Seems a lot of people have also seen it white and gold on one occasion, and then came back later in the day and it was black and blue. This thing is tripping me out, I need some sleep, lol.

Because that's the actual colour. You're mentally compensating for the perception of blue light.

I don't know if the XKCD comic is supposed to re-create the illusion in one of the images but I just see the black and blue as slightly lighter in the left image.

Okay, there's a bluish tint in the white, making it light blue I suppose, but black? Where is there black in that?

You're mentally substracting blue from the black which is giving you gold. Sorry bud but you're not seeing the real colours.

The photoshop test dealie on that deadspin page is pretty conclusive.

Are you saying you still see white and gold even on the photoshop test?

At first I couldn't understand why something silly such as this could go viral but I guess I see it now. Some people are adamant that they see color set 1 while the other group are insistent that see color set 2. Makes you go WTF?!

Those llamas yesterday though..

I'm color-blind/daltonico, I only see whores and alcohol.

Well this is odd.

I looked at the picture this morning and I said" Obviously white and gold"

Then I check the image at work and I see blue and black..

I guess it really depends on the setting you are in, the lighting and how your brain compensates.

This exact thing just happened to me, but on the same computer (just like a half hour later). Very trippy that it could change so drastically.

The only way I was able to see the white and gold illusion was by just keeping the very top of the photo on screen and it doesn't work with every version of the photo that's circulated. As soon as I take in the whole thing, I stop interpreting the blue as anything other than blue. The illusion is very weak for me. Apparently, it has something to do with the strength of the rod cell in your eye. My wife is one of the top wedding photographers in Canada. She's scored highest percentile in every colour acuity test imaginable. She simply cannot make herself see the white and gold. Her colour recognition is too good. As her second shooter, It's a relief that I also see the black and blue 99% of the time.

I honestly couldn't make myself see white and gold the first several times I looked at it. I saw the pic somewhere else and was actually floored that that was all I could see. I CAN'T make myself see blue and black ATM. I honestly thought it was a different picture and this was some sort of bad joke. Then I came back here.

Very odd experience.

So we all agree that anyone who sees anything but black and blue is really dumn?

I hope if/when you eventually see white and gold, you own up and post here that you did (and yes I felt the exact same way, then it changed lol)

When both me and my wife saw black and blue and my friend who is literally colour blind saw white and gold, I really had no doubts about the reality of the photo. It's been confirmed several times now.

This^ happened to me as well. I replied in a sarcastic tone that it was Gold and White, then clicked back on the post when someone replied and the dress was dark blue and black....
