Money ReDraft League

Money ensures that people enter with the intention of taking it seriously, but also means that people are less likely to drop out midway through the season.

Besides, if it wasn't a money league, we would restrict it to people we were already familiar with through fantasy baseball.

 

And $20 is hardly a huge sum.

It can be if you just finished grad school and are looking for a job.

I don't know every detail of the league yet. Once we have 20 owners, we can figure that stuff out.

Generally easy-going people know enough at this point to commit to the league without fretting over those details.

 

But, I can tell you the categories will probably be something like:

 

Hitting:

AVG

OBP

SLG

Runs

RBI

Home Runs

Net Stolen Bases

 

Pitching:

Wins or Quality Starts

Holds

Saves (Boxy convinced me Net Saves sucks)

StrikeOuts

K/BB

ERA

WHIP

You also have to show up to the draft drunk, followed by taking a Shot every time a Bluejay is taken. Makes for some interesting bids

Has MetsGuy even logged on since he made the Dickey trade post? I know since it's for money it solves some issues, but at the same time it's only 20$ and if someone has a super s***** team and is out of it half way through and they have no history on the board i would assume they won't spend the time setting lineups.

 

I think we should wait till we have 20 people with a little bit of a track record here. Just my opinion though.

I think between making the payment, and responding to the various polls in the next week or so, we'll have enough checkpoints to weed out the guys that aren't serious.

I haven't read all the "Can Ryan Goins Stick" thread, it was my opinion of him. I know he can't stick, i just don't think we have any viable options for second base at the moment. Or at least until Devon Travis is ready to contribute at the big league level.

For the record, the best Metalica songs are the ones that predate the Black Album but since the purpose of the question is to screen out a hardcore Metalica fan and troll who used to hang out here, the fact that your answers seem to indicate a pretty shallow knowledge of the band is probably a plus in your favour.
