Matt Albers is decent too and with his injury they may be able to sign him to a minor league deal.

Waiting out the market is probably the right decision since there's not much that separates these relievers.

Only if any savings will be reinvested

Almost as good as my "Matt Moore will need TJ soon." 5 minutes later...

Oh yeah? Well I predicted Darvish's posting fee within $500k.

This is only possible if Trout gets injured

Too much is being made of bullpen. They are unpredictable. A full year ago our bullpen was suppose to be our strength. Which quickly turned into our Achilles heel. Two years ago bullpen was projected to be weak, it was outstanding. Janssen and Delabar had a great year Cecil came out of no where.

Was thinking about this a couple nights ago and it made me sick to realize the kind of pen we entered 2014 with, how it actually played out, and what we're currently left with.

Jays entered the season last year with Janssen, Santos, Cecil, Loup, Delabar, Rogers and Jeffress. If you think back to how good most of those guys each were at one point or another, it hurts to see how much the Jays have lost to attrition. Only Loup and Cecil remain from that group, with a wish left with Delabar, and absolutely nobody else having established themselves as a valuable reliever in 2014.

Jeremy Jeffress was good last season

Well Trout defensively has been declining three years in a row I think? And I think his base running and speed in general has gone down cause he's a bit more chunky now.

I'm hoping that, coupled with Donaldson hitting in a hitter's park will boost him over.

Barry Bonds was better player when he lost the speed.

Better offensively, yes. Dude was already a tank in terms of bat speed and discipline. The power just put him over the top. His defense and base running suffered but didn't matter overall. Seriously, the dude was already a tank pre-PEDs and was a monster post. I am a little upset I wasn't able to see his entire career.

I meant in terms of ability, not stature lol. He was still roughly a 7-10 WAR player before his PEDs.

His biggest mistake was shaving off the moustache. NOBODY suspects a guy with a moustache.
