Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 I went to one (that I remember). I remember that I ate a lot of candy and Junior Felix hit a home run. Also, metal bench seats. For the record, the first Jays game ever was 1 year and 1 day before I was born.
CrackerJack Verified Member Posted December 18, 2014 Author Posted December 18, 2014 Lots of games (I'm 40 now). Fondly remember the drive of 85. "How about those Blue Jays!"

Back when we used to have doubleheaders in Toronto. Love the cast of characters on those '77-'78 Bronx Zoo teams ... ya forgot Sparky Lyle and of course Billy too. Thurman was my favourite tho.

Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 I mostly remember brrrrrr! And, "Heereeee's Johnnnnyy!", and Garth Iorg stealing bases
SAAviour Verified Member Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Yup, once. I was on the first base side and spent half the game peaking out over the stadium at the fair grounds behind/beside the stadium.
walkoff93 Verified Member Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Many times, used to love those $5 General Admission seats. If you got there early you could get some pretty good seats.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 All I remember (I was very young) was sitting in the right field bleachers, staring in to the sun, and could barely see. And seagulls. And Lloyd Moseby.

Hipfan Verified Member Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 I've seen the Jays twice; once at the Ex circa 1984 and once in Ottawa (exhibition game) in 1993, iirc. Only been to Skydome once, for a Billy Graham crusade...still trying to make it there for the Jays, although the next time I see them will most likely be at Safeco, now that I'm on Vancouver Island.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 I never did, but my dad worked in concessions there during the summer during ball games. I did this very shortly, quit on the 3rd day, used my money for tickets, lol.
