Routine King Verified Member Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Same thing you are doing except I don't have a chick as my avatar and have my location listed as "Your bedroom" that is pretty creepy. Oh no, are you going to be able to sleep tonight?
subatomic Verified Member Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 You are trying way to hard to be a troll rn This isn't a troll. I said the same thing on the Orioles board. Hoffman is not enough. He might have a 20 percent chance of being a successful starter in the majors. I am not giving up a sure thing GM for a guy who is a risk of never doing anything.
subatomic Verified Member Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Oh no, are you going to be able to sleep tonight? I am sure with his criminal record he would never be let across the border.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 I don't think most of use were Ok for DD straight up guy for Hoffman. We had 14 straight years of losing seasons before DD turned up. And he completely turned the franchise around. We have had guys rated better or as good as Hoffman who turned out to be total busts. I am suprised you guys wouldn't want to give up more for DD he has been a winner everywhere he has been while you guys keep missing the playoffs year after year. The laughing stocks of professional sports. Isn't a few playoff trips worth a couple of prospects? I should correct myself by saying that anyone who isn't a complete f***ing baboon idiot would have been okay with just Hoffman. We all saw you ask for Hoffman and Donaldson already. Even for a fanbase as dumb as that of the Orioles, you are the absolute bottom of the barrel. If I make a general statement about O's fans, just do yourself and your comrades a favor and assume you weren't considered in that generalization.
BTS Community Moderator Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Mods should probably just ban this guy now. Shame people have to act like children and can't discuss baseball with people who have a different favourite team.

What a plot twist!
subatomic Verified Member Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 How dumb is the O's organization? Hoffman, pentecost and Nay, what the f***!!!!! Seems like a fair proposal. We didn't want to get rid of DD. We gave you an opportunity to acquire him for a fair price. You dont' want to pay the price than you go home. You are stuck with a GM with a proven record of failure and we are stuck with a GM with a proven record of winning. Who is the dumb organization?
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 I am not giving up a sure thing GM for a guy who is a risk of never doing anything. Enjoy Ubaldo for the next three years.
subatomic Verified Member Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 So you're not a troll just stupid? What a plot twist! No prospect is worth more than a top 5 GM. Certainly not a player that is a long shot at best. Even a single future hall of fame player in his prime isn't going to take a crappy team and make them a playoff team. DD can do that for you. Look at Felix Hernandez. Most Dominant pitcher in the AL and yet the Mariners are loser year after year.
subatomic Verified Member Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Enjoy Ubaldo for the next three years. Ubaldo is our sixth best starter. I am not worried about him. He started to improve at the end of the year. If not he will be long reliever in the bullpen.
subatomic Verified Member Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Mods should probably just ban this guy now. Why are you a donor to a Blue Jays forum and have 5000 post on it and you are a Rays fan?
BTS Community Moderator Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 I'm willing to bet Duquette is gone within a year. Being denied the opportunity to interview elsewhere for a promotion, while at the same time being denied that same promotion with your current employer will not sit well.

Well the Orioles management seems to be on the same page as I am. You are the one who thinks Hoffman would be enough because you overrate your prospects. The Orioles always said Hoffman was not enough. THe Jays will never get DD for Hoffman. That is a fact.
subatomic Verified Member Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Because people here are smart and I enjoy talking with them. There are smart people who post on here? Are they all on vacation this week? Is this some Canadian holiday week I don't know about.

He won't be gone until the Blue Jays hire a new GM. Angelos would never let the Blue Jays get him.

Routine King Verified Member Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 He won't be gone until the Blue Jays hire a new GM. Angelos would never let the Blue Jays get him. I'm sorry but you do understand that DD isn't going to be our Gm right?

We can't post during national holidays because the socialist/communist gay loving super liberal government restricts internet access.
subatomic Verified Member Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 I'm sorry but you do understand that DD isn't going to be our Gm right? You can call a GM a CEO but he still is a GM. You don't go after GM's with them just handling when to open or close the dome. You handle them for baseball decisions.
BTS Community Moderator Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 He won't be gone until the Blue Jays hire a new GM. Angelos would never let the Blue Jays get him. Angelos' pettiness likely does extend far enough to try this. I really don't think it's a good thing though. He has a front office to worry about. If the working relationship has been damaged, and I imagine it has, everyone needs to move on.
metafour Verified Member Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Seems like a fair proposal. We didn't want to get rid of DD. We gave you an opportunity to acquire him for a fair price. How generous of you to offer us him for a "fair price". Theo Epstein was 'traded' for Chris Carpenter. A 26 year old relief pitcher. How does the price look now you f***ing baboon? You don't think the Red Sox tried pulling the same s*** your f***-head owner is doing LMFAO? "The Red Sox reportedly had aimed high in their initial demands, requesting Cubs ace Matt Garza and even All-Star shortstop Starlin Castro, but the Cubs shot down those options."

Do you have inferiority complex or something? I have been to Montreal, Quebec City, and Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick. Nothing against Canada here. I would like to visit Vancouver one day as well and maybe Newfoundland.
BTS Community Moderator Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Toronto also tried for Buchholz when the Red Sox tried to snipe Farrell. They got Mike Aviles.
Zaun of the Dead Verified Member Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 He won't be gone until the Blue Jays hire a new GM. Angelos would never let the Blue Jays get him. Ok so pick your poison. Duquette stays your GM for the next 4 years when he doesn't want to be there and has a terrible relationship with the owner. OR he just quits or something and the Blue Jays hire him anyways for no compensation.

Epstein had one year on his contract, DD has four. The Red Sox were unhappy with Epstein and wanted to get rid of him. The Orioles are tickled pink with the job DD has done. There is no correlation. If you were to trade Josh Donaldson do you expect to get more for him than Navarro or do you think all players return the same amount?

Most Dominant pitcher in the AL and yet the Mariners are loser year after year. This is the hilarious part that you thickheaded f***tards don't get. Perfect example. Felix Hernandez. Most dominant pitcher in the AL, he was worth anywhere between 36 and 50 million dollars last year. Yet the compensation he received was 22M. Nearly/less than half of what he was worth. Even if he was worth 45M, anyone who paid him 45M would be regarded as a f***ing idiot, because of what they paid relative to his market value. It doesn't matter how much value an apple has in comparison to an orange, all that matters is how that apple is priced relative to how every other apple is priced.

He is under contract to the Orioles. If he quits he goes back to running a baseball camp for kids.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Or to go further and put in the simplest possible terms, since I understand that you have the intellect of a jackass, if you believe Duquette is worth more than Felix Hernandez, who himself was essentially underpaid at 22M last year, then despite the fact that no GM makes even half as much, you firmly believe that your Orioles should most definitely be paying Duquette above 22M a year, correct? And if your club won't simply toss the precedence of GM salaries in the current market and compensate him for what he's truly worth, why should the Jays themselves ignore that precedence and give you idiots compensation equivalent to what you think he's worth?
