kgm1 Verified Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 And no one advances the runners
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 The sample size is still small, but it would appear as if Pompey needs a bit of work on his right handed hitting, he has a similar approach but takes awkward defensive swings, not nearly as smooth as his left handed swing.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Lol at Gibby not bunting with the phenom Mayberry.
Arkadium Verified Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Typical pillar ... Selfish... 2-0 swings wildly on ball 3

He is definitely stronger from the left side.

Agree 100%. I think its best for his development to go back to AAA next season. Don't want him learning any bad habits that will hurt him over the long term which can happen especially being a switch hitter.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Sanchez to the rotation . first smart thing buck said all nite He needs to add a changeup, or a cutter like some have mentioned. I'm disappointed at how little he's thrown the curve, my guess is he can't command it well.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Nice amount of young depth the Jays have.. a lot of teams (such as the Yankees and Tigers, who have lousy farm systems) wish they had that youth. Let's just hope they pan out.

He showed pretty decent command in the early outings but I think the thought process is no one can hit his 2 seamer so might as well throw it every time.

Moot point ,AA will want that cheap arm in the BP

I've thought of this well, Navarro doesn't even flinch, it's heat heat heat all the time. Although if one aspect of his has appeared decent it's his game calling, so my guess would be that it hasn't looked sharp in side sessions or Sanchez doesn't feel comfortable using it, something to work on in the offseason.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Wow is EE ever slow lol.

Moot point ,AA will want that cheap arm in the BP I agree with the former, but I doubt he doesn't get the chance to start, he would be called out even by the casuals for not doing so.

Yeah. I don't think he has much side sessions considering he's a reliever. Hard to work on a pitch when you can't really practice it.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Wow is EE ever slow lol. I think it's clear the quad injury is still present, or he's still hurting from back pain. He's not hustling at all but I think it's because he doesn't want to aggravate it further.
kgm1 Verified Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 He's still hurt, he shouldn't even be playing. Looks like Melky did last year. I hurt just watching melky run last year
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 These jackasses got a 5 year deal
guylaroche5 Verified Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Wow is EE ever slow lol. EE hustled a lot before his injury but he's not stupid. he knows these games are meaningless and isn't gonna risk a longterm injury over the pride of beating the orioles in an exhibition game
kgm1 Verified Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 navarro loses that pitch all the time

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Navarro doesn't even try with Sanchez, he just goes where the ball takes him.
SJE32 Verified Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Nothing like Navaro reaching for balls on the corners.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Mayberry has done a great job at first.
guylaroche5 Verified Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 navarro is so bad please for the love of god AA offload this pile of lard
SJE32 Verified Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Maybe Sanchez needs a personal catcher too. Maybe one that can hit little too.
